Project 4: Triptych

TMI PHOTOGRAPHY I
Project 4: Triptych

Your goal for this project is to create a series of photographs meant to be displayed in 3 panels as a triptych. Navigate here and here to see examples of how triptychs have been displayed throughout art history.

You'll be working with your choice of either "Self" or "Dream" for your theme and I hope you choose one that is special to you. Something personal works well within this kind of sequencing and display.

For final critique, you will display 2 triptych artworks consisting of 6 photographs total.

 DUE DATES:

Wednesday, 1/19/22: Over the long weekend, shoot 250 images towards your project. When you return on Wednesday, you'll use class time to import your images and create a contact sheet. Label your files lastname_firstname_p4_cs1_1, lastname_firstname_p4_cs1_2, etc. Label your finished contact sheet lastname_firstname_p4_cs1 and turn it into your Project 4 folder on Google Drive. This is due by midnight for a grade.

Monday, 1/31/22: Over the weekend, shoot 150 images towards your project.
When you return, you'll use class time to import your images and create a contact sheet. Label your files lastname_firstname_p4_cs2_1, lastname_firstname_p4_cs2_2, etc. Label your finished contact sheet lastname_firstname_p4_cs2 and turn it into your Project 4 folder on Google Drive. This is due by midnight for a grade.

Wednesday, 2/9/22: SOFT CRITIQUE DAY
On this day we will begin looking at your images on screen for feedback and suggestions. Please have 2 finished triptych artworks ready for viewing.

Monday, 3/7/22 - 3/10/22: FINAL CRITIQUE DAY

On this day, you will turn in:
  1. 6 prints displayed as 2 triptych artworks
  2. 6 processed PSD files labeled lastname_firstname_p4_final_1, lastname_firstname_p4_final_2, etc. Turn these into your Project 4 folder in Google Drive as well as the class flash drive.
