- SUSTAINED INVESTIGATION has 2 parts: Images and Written Evidence. For images, you will choose 15 images that demonstrate:
- sustained investigation through practice, experimentation, and revision.
- sustained investigation of materials, processes, and ideas
- synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas
- 2-D skills
Select cohesive images that relate to you central theme/idea/question, just like you did when compiling your ISAS portfolio.
When you upload these images to the AP website, keep in mind that you'll need to indicate a width and height. Use the image size that you print your final images at (18x12, 21x14, 10x15, etc.)
For Written Evidence, you will include written responses that relate directly to your work. The prompts are:
- Identify the questions that guided your sustained investigation.
- Describe how your sustained investigation shows evidence of practice, experimentation, and revision guided by your question(s).
Think about the curiosity or inquiry that made you want to create your photographs. What sort of questions guided you? These can be questions you asked yourself based on your own research, inspiration, or feedback you received in class. - SELECTED WORKS also has 2 parts: Images and Written Evidence. For images, you will choose 5 photographs that demonstrate:
-skillful synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas
-These will be high quality photographs with written responses identifying the materials, processes, and ideas you used. Your photographs may come from the Sustained Investigation section, but they do not have to.
For more information on choosing your selected works and assembling your AP Portfolio, click here. - IMAGE SPECS
All images should be:
-JPEG
-72 ppi
-Adobe RGB
-There are no minimum pixel dimensions listed for you to use, so I would choose a pixel dimension of 2000 pixels on the longest edge.
