The image is of an old school bus that is in what looks like a neighborhood. The school bus is abandoned and not in good conditions. Behind the bus, there is a fence, dead trees and abandoned cars and boats. The colors being used are very neutral. The bus stands out from everything else because its color which is yellow. I think that the photographer took this picture in the afternoon. The sky is almost full of clouds and there isn't a lot of sunlight, the clouds might have covered it.

The picture is pleasant to look at. There is only one main object, which is the bus, in the picture. There aren't any other objects distracting us from the main one. And, because everything else in the picture is neutral color or very light colors, the bus has a very bright color and stand out even more. The photographer took this picture in a standing point of view.

The focal point is the bus. It is being framed by the fence and the trees. I think that this photograph is balanced. The school bus is the biggest and more colorful object in the image. But there is also the fence, boats, cars, trees, houses and wood pieces laying on the grass that makes the image seem full. I do not think that there is any extra space in this image. The negative space is anything that is not the school bus, the positive space is the school bus.

I think that the theme of this picture is loneliness. Everything in this picture seems so abandoned and lonely. The school bus looks old, the cars and boats behind it look to. And the grass and the trees look dead already. This image reminds me of scary movies. In scary movies everything start in a an abandoned town or house.

I really like this picture. I like how the school bus is the object that stands out the most. I like that this image gives us a feeling of suspense because the place look abandoned, lonely and without life. I think that this photograph is successful.

The image is of a close look tire from a car. The tire looks like it has been on the road before due to the stains and scratches. The photographer had put the camera really close to the tire with a shallow depth of field to see all the fine details of the tire. The image looks like it has been taken inside an open garage because there’s light shining on the tire but not on the background. The tire seems to be part of a car and not of a jeep or truck that is used for going through mud and dirt.

The image is fairly pleasing to look at because of the dim lighting shining on the tire. The image doesn't really use the rule of thirds because the tire takes up the whole image. The image can be arguably be a bug’s eye view image because through a bug’s perspective the tire would seem huge. The Photographer took the image slightly above the tire and the image uses a shallow depth of field. The reason why the image has a shallow depth of field is because you can see the tiny details of the tire but the background is blurry.

The focal point of the image is the line passing through the tire in the middle of the image. The image has leading lines everywhere pointing toward the line on the tire in the middle of the image. The image is symmetrical and the subject almost entirely fills the frame. The image leaves out the rest of the tire and the background. The positive space of the image is the tire and the negative space is the background.

The image doesn’t really have any themes because it's just a picture of a tire. The story of the image is that the photographer took a picture of a tire from his/her car that he/she uses to get to school. The intention of the image is to show you the tiny details of a tire. The image reminds me of the tire from my parents’ cars. The picture didn’t challenge my beliefs because it's just a tire.

I like the image for it’s simplicity and detail. I never thought a picture of a tire could look so neat. I really liked the lighting and how I can see the tiny details of the tire like is the white stain bird poop or paint from the road. The photographer probably didn’t think the image would come out looking this good since it’s just a picture of a tire. The image is successful because it made me appreciate the tiny details of a tire.

I will be writing about the image that is a chair in a blank room. The chair is decorated with flowers, like the old antique kind of chairs. The floor is a beige carpet and the walls are white with a wood trim. The house that this image was taken in was a nice looking neighborhood. The colors used are cool toned.

Personally, I really like the way the light shines on the chair. The use of natural light is very good when taking an image. The time of day looks around 3 or 4 a clock in the afternoon. The un almost shows a golden tint on the chair. There is also a very good use of shadows.

I don't think that there is any story told in this image, unless you thought really hard and looked at this image very closely. This image reminds me of some kind of emptiness, like there used to be someone sitting in the chair but now they are gone. This image looks like it was either taken in a bedroom, or a living room. This rom almost seems like it's never used, since its so clean.

This image is pleasing to look at because it calms me. It is a still image, meaning that there is no movement going on. I'm not sure why, but I think that this really calms me down. I feel that if i were to be in the image, I would be calmly sitting down and maybe reading a book, or just thinking. I do like this image.

The reasons that I like this image is because I feel that it really calms me down, something that I am not, most of the time. Sometimes in life, people really need to be calm, and this image helps reach that goal. My favorite part of the image is the lighting. I am obsessed with lighting. I don't know why, but I love the sun, light, and everything.

The image simply depicts a worn down car tire. The background is black and does not contain any items, and is simply black. This is to add to the color scheme of the image, which is dark in general apart from a slight hint of light striking the tire. The lighting seems to be sunlight. There are no objects included in this image apart from the worn car tire. There is nothing happening in the image that can be seen.

The composition is pleasing to look at because of its simplicity. There isn’t too much going on in the image to comprehend, and this provides a good effect. The rule of thirds is not in effect because the subject, the surface of the tire, is enveloping almost the entire frame. The point of view being used is almost parallel with the tire, with the image taken at nearly ground level. The depth of field is very shallow, with only a small portion of the tire in focus. This causes the focal point of the image to be in almost the very center of the image, where it is in focus. The lines featured in the image are those embedded in the tire. They are everywhere, with some being parallel and some intersecting with each other. The image is balanced because the one subject takes up the entire frame and is standing steadily upright. The subject fills the entire frame, leaving next to no extra space in it.

The theme of simplicity is evident in this image. The story that is being told in this image is the story of the car that used that tire. That car had been through many, many miles and the tire is an indication of the car’s service. This most likely was the intention of the artist when they created this image, to tell this story. This reminds me of the old cars that my family has had - they serve their purpose, then it is time to move on. This image is interesting to me because of its simplicity and the story that it is telling.

I enjoy this image due to its structure, its color scheme, its story, and its simplicity. In this photograph, a simple tire was able to tell a story and make a good looking image all in one. This is what makes this photograph successful: the fact that the photographer was able to take an old tire and create something noteworthy out of it.

In this photo is little a yellow bus in the middle of what looks to be a rv park. There is a broken fence in the back as well as rvs and some rooftops. In this image it uses darker tones with the bright yellow bus in the back. The lighting is natural lighting that is causing some shadows.

I believe this image is pleasing to look at. I like the use of colors it gives a calm eerie feel. This image is not using the rule of thirds since the yellow bus is in the back. The point of view is from someone looking at the bus. The depth of field of this image is deep since you can see the whole background.

In this image the main focal point is the yellow bus. The lines from the fence also causes to draw all the attention from the background and focused onto the bus. The image is overall symmetrical due to the bus being in the middle, tough the background is not the same on both sides. I think the photographer uses the space in the image well by not leaving a bunch of extra space in the photo. The image also does not cut off anything of importance in the image.

I think the idea of this image was to show a picture of a bus the photographer found. Maybe the photographer was on a trip or was just walking around and found this bus and thought is would look cool.I think this image is very well done and is quite interesting.

I do like this image. I think this image is unique. I also like the use of color and the dark tones that are used in this image. I like how this image makes you want to know where it was taken. Because t looks like a very interesting place.

This is a photo of a bright yellow bus in a shady part of town. Everything around the bus looks dead and so does the bus itself. There isn't much color other that the bus and the all shades surrounding it. The night looks very natural and mid-day like. There are no people in this photo, looks very remote. Nothing is happening, there isn't any sign of actions taking place.

I think it is pleasing to look at because the yellow really stands out in this environment. This is taken from human eye level of the photo. Deep depth of field is being used in this photo because everything is in focus. The focal point is the bus and its surrounded by RV’s and dead grass. The image looks balanced it's not symmetrical but it look scentered and well thought out. There is extra space around the bus. The frame cuts off the rest of the RV parking lot and or neighborhood.

Some themes could be the older days of the bus and how it has rusted over time just like we will. It could also be labeled artsy scene. There could be a story told behind this photo i just don't know exactly what the photographer was trying to express through this photo. This reminds be of the magic school bus show that i watched when i was younger. This image is noteworthy because i think it's really artistic and unique.

I do like this photo a lot. It shows character and the time the bus has had. It reminds me of memories that i have had in a bus and makes me think of the kids who have memories from this bus. I think the photo is successful and interesting work of art to study and look at. I really liked this photo.

This photograph is of a shed outside with the light on. The rest of the photo has a cool tone and is darker, so the light inside of the shed stands out. Also, the shed is an all glass window-looking structure. There is a table of pots outside of it, along with an igloo-looking container, a trash can, and some bags- possibly of soil. The light is a vibrant yellow which really stands out with the rest of the darker image.

The structure is centered in the photograph. It is pleasing to look at because of how the light sticks out. A deep depth of field was used to make this photo. The main lines are in the window panes of the structure which go both horizontally and vertically. The tree branches are also in the background which create nice vertical lines to add to the photo.

I think that many themes could be interpreted from this photograph. One of those themes could be kind of like the light at the end of the tunnel, showing the happiness of the structure. It looks like it is used for gardening and/or keeping plants. It might be a fun place for whoever’s hobby it is to garden to go to. This photograph reminds me exactly of a greenhouse that my neighbors have that looks like this and I love to see the light on inside at night because it looks so beautiful.

I like this photograph a lot. The composition functions very well by including temperature with the subtle blue tones. It also makes for a high quality because it was not taken in the dark, but after the sun had set. This made it so that there was no need to use flash which is not a good way to photograph, but so that the light in the structure sticks out more. The yellow light inside the structure almost glows outside and provides a vibrant color that the photograph needed.

This photograph was probably made in someone’s back yard where they have this greenhouse. It might have been overlooked before as anything pretty before. However, the photographer did a very good job at bringing out the natural attractiveness of the glowing of the light inside. Overall, I think that this photo was successful. It has a very nice quality and good simple lines and one main color that shows throughout most of the frame.

The image I am going to be talking about is the image that has the old abandoned bus in it. The bus looks like it is very old, and that it hasn’t been in use for a very long time. It also looks like it could be some sort of place a person that was hiding from the police would be staying. Although it has an eerie feel to it, the image has very bright colors except for the fence. There also isn’t any people in the image, even though there are trailers in the background, which makes me think that the whole trailer park is abandoned.

I think the image is pleasing and not pleasing to look at. The weird vibe that abandoned things give off is a reason that it could possibly not be appealing to some people, but for me personally I find that sort of eerie feel to be pretty interesting. The point of view looks like it could be from someone who just happened to stumble across it, and thought it would be a good chance to snap a photo. The subject doesn’t fully fill the frame because there are trailers in the background. The rule of thirds isn’t being used, instead the bus is just right in the center of the photo.

I think one of the ideas the artist of the photo was trying to give off was the idea of something being eerie and spooky. I don’t know if there is any specific story being told in the image, but I would just say that it was a bus that was dropped off in a remote area, so that the owner didn’t have to have it anymore. You could also tell a story about how a class was on a field trip or something, and they all went missing except for the bus, just so you make it more eerie. It kind of reminds me of some wild west movies, because it reminds me of one of those old country towns. I’m not sure I would call the image beautiful, but I could definitely call it very interesting and thought provoking.

I actually really like this photo. I could have some fun trying to think of some different stories that could be told because it is an abandoned old bus. I think the photographer who made the photo was very successful. Whoever it was that made the photo obviously knew what they were doing because they definitely peaked my interest with this photo. Knowing that he/she is only in a high school photography class makes me wonder what other great photos they could be able to make in their future.

I am actually not quite sure how this person got this photo. I don’t have the slightest idea where a person could just go to look for abandoned buses. I could understand if they just happened to stumble upon it, and they just so happened to be caring their camera with them. Even if that was the case, the chances of that happening are very low though. People aren’t just dropping their bus off that they don’t want anymore in the middle of nowhere.

1) DESCRIBE SPECIFICS:
The image consists of a yellow broken down school bus. It seems to be thrown out in the side of a road next to a fence. The colors in the image are yellow being the bright color with several neutral colors of brown tones and a blue sky. There are dark shadows where the bus is placed. There are no windows on the bus nor is the bus in good condition.

2) DESCRIBE FORM
The image is very pleasing to look at because it looks very artsy. The bus is placed right in the middle of the image. The image was taken in the 3rd point of view to give a full and outsider view of the abandoned school bus. The image is placed symmetrically placed in the image. The school bus does not fill up the entire image yest it wsi still the main focus of the image. The fence lines through the image that direct the eye to the middle of the image. The positive space is what surrounds the bus such as the sky and the ground.

3) DESCRIBE CONTENT
This image reminds me of all children who were killed in school shootings and have been forgotten. The small school bus gives me that little kid feeling. The fact that the school bus has been abandoned and forgotten gives me that horrible feeling. The image gives me a bad feeling in my stomach, but it is also a sentimental feeling. This image is beautiful because it is giving light to the idea of the photographer.
4) EVALUATE
I loved this image, yet I also hate it. The image is beautiful because it has so much meaning to me with what it stands for. Yet. I hate it because it gives e a feeling in my gut that makes me feel for all the kids in those shootings like sandy hook etc. This photograph is very successful to the meaning of the image that interpreted. It was very well taken and really speaks to me.

The image is of a school bus in the middle of nowhere. The colors give off a decaying or aging tone. The lighting is natural, it looks like it was shot midday on a day were it was cloudy. The main subject seems to be a old school bus. The school bus is parked in a field of dead grass. A fence is behind the bus and behind the fence you can see a boat, a building, and trailers. Clearly this place is not abandoned but the school bus makes it seem like it is.
The image is pleasing to look at one because all the colors around the subject is mostly some kind of grayish brown, and when you first see the image your eyes go directly to the subject which is a faded yellow school bus. I feel like the rule of thirds is not being used because the object is right in the middle of the photo. The point of view is in third person, and at an angle t were you can see both headlights but also see the side of the bus. The depth of field is relatively deep. Your eyes will immediately go to the bus and for me the lines lead to the fence then from the fence leads to the trailers. The subject does not fill the frame.
I feel like a theme for this image can be the past is slowly decaying but it will never die sort of speak, because that is a old bus model that is covered in rust and aging paint. The bus ,if it was alive , could have plenty of stories of how many people rode in it and where it has gone. Seeing this image gives me a post apocalyptic world feeling. I guess in a way it can mock some books. Books like 1984 or A Brave New World, because both books in some way try to get rid of history from the lives of the current generation. This shows that the past cannot be deleted or forgotten.
I actually like this photo. The way it was shot, the colors, and especially the angle of where the bus was shot. I love post apocalyptic scenes it's interesting seeing nature take back the land after a long period of time and how science ties everything together. Science being the busses rust spots and paint fading away. The photo is very successful.

This is a photograph of a greenhouse. The colors used in the photograph are cooler colors. Even the yellow lights seem to be toned down. The main colors of this photograph are blues, greens, red and yellow. The main lighting for this image is natural lighting at what seems to be dusk or dawn. However, there are artificial lights shining from the greenhouse.

The subject of this image is the greenhouse. The building seems to be in somebody’s backyard because of the fence that is boarding it. Surrounding the greenhouse is a table filled with pots, a trash can, what appears to be a dog kennel and other gardening things. This image is static, nothing seems to be in motion. The lights and the windows from the greenhouse, at a glance, give off the effect that its contents is moving around.

The image as a whole is not particularly pleasing to look at but the greenhouse with in the image is mesmerizing. The subject of the image is in the middle of the photograph. The point of view for this image is eye level and the artist appeared to use a deep depth of field. The positive space is shown in the bright, almost white, lights shining off of the roof of the greenhouse. The negative space can be seen in the framework of the greenhouse and in the kennel. There are many lines that point the viewer’s eye in the direction of the subject. For example, the edge of the fence or the cracks on the ground both lead the eye towards the greenhouse. The main subject does not totally fill the frame. The image does not really crop off anything besides from the fence and the top of the trees.

I do not think that there is a specific theme going on in this image. I think that the artist created this image because this place holds special meaning to him/her or the image represents something to the artist. The greenhouse sort of reminds me of a lighthouse. The image in general, seems like something that you would see in a movie, dreamed up by one of the characters. The image does not challenge political or religious beliefs. The photograph is noteworthy because something so simple as a greenhouse, is so majestic.

I love this image because it is majestic. When I look at the background, I see nothing special. It looks like a regular backyard with some gardening items scattered about. However, when I look at the greenhouse, I get a totally different feeling. The greenhouse seems somehow distant, almost as if in a dream. The mixture of cool and warm colors around the greenhouse are very pleasing to the eye. There is just something about it that makes me feel safe. As if I could walk into the greenhouse and all my problems would go away.

This image is of a young girl that is sitting criss cross against a light tan fence gate. In her hands are orange flowers. She is wearing a white dress with transparent polka dots on it. She has the same transparent polka dot piece of cloth tied around her neck. Her hair is resting on the left side of her body (right side looking at the picture) and is in a ponytail. She is wearing pearl earrings with some of her hair falling over her ear. The lighting is natural and there is good shadowing. To the side on the fence is a ray of light going down it.

This image’s composition is pleasing, the image fills the frame so there isn't much cropped out of it, although it did crop off some of legs and feet the photo is not missing too much detail by choosing to not include her legs. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is directly in front of the camera, and the viewpoint is definitely someone that is directly in front of her, or it may be that she used a timer to compose this image, because it is a self portrait.

The focal point of this image is Raven , which is the young girl sitting against the bench.
A theme or idea of this image could be that something bad has happened. The color she choose to wear makes the image seem hopeful because white is a very pure and hopeful color, but the look on her face seems full of hurt and doubt. She seems very upset at something.

She appears to be sitting looking off into the distance. This could seem as if she is waiting for something. The hurt that you see on her face could be the doubt she feels. She could also feel hopelessness in waiting for something that will never come or what she wants is not in her grasp. She is definitely hurting in some way though. Her face seems to be longing for something or for change.

I think this image is successful. The image tells a story with a mysterious meaning. I like this photograph a lot because of the curiosity of what's going on in her life, because of the pain you can see in her eyes. I think this image is beautiful, this is a very talented photographer to be able to do these self portraits so well.

This is an image of oranges that appear to be covered in small feathers. This image does very well in how it draws attention and causes clear emotion. The various textures put together in this image are used to cause the person viewing the image a feeling of discomfort. This image uses many different elements of design that depict different feelings/thoughts from the person viewing the image. This image does not necessarily tell a story but it causes emotion and causes the person viewing the image to question the image and focus over the feelings that the image causes.

The composition of this image as a whole is very nice as it uses many elements. The oranges against the yellow background share an element of design, which is color. This image uses a very shallow depth of field to focus over the feathers which are stuck to the oranges. Some of the background is out of focus, but the major subject of the image (the oranges) are in completely in focus. The oranges and the yellow background are both warm colors and this causes the images to follow a particular color scheme, but the feathers stuck to the oranges are green, a cool color which slightly breaks the scheme.

The composition of this image causes the person viewing the image to question many things. Why are the sliced orange pieces sitting on this yellow sheet/blanket/background? Why are the oranges covered in feathers? This image is very successful in how it causes the person viewing the image to wonder. The image catches the attention of the person viewing it.

This image is not very pleasing to look at as it causes the person viewing the image to feel uncomfortable. How this image causes the person viewing the image to feel uncomfortable is exactly what makes it successful. Many images tell some sort of a story, while this one causes a clear feel/reaction. In this way, this image is very unique and stands out from other images. The photographer had a clear vision for how this image would speak to the people viewing it, and they are successful in causing emotion.

I think that this image is overall very successful. The photographer had a vision and they followed it and were completely successful in it. I like this image a lot personally because it is successful in making me feel uncomfortable or confused second-hand. I think that this image is also pleasing to the eye in how it follows a certain pattern/ scheme. This image has different aspects throughout that cause different emotions and this makes it very successful.
