This is a photo of a women with no head. It's only someones legs and the dress they are wearing. No shoulders or any upper body. The color scheme is a pinky color and red. There might be some sunlight to light the photo but i think it's mostly studio setup light. There is only one object in the photo and that is this woman. She doesn't have a face though. This lady is standing in front of a pink wall with no upper body. There isn't any action happening in the photo.

It is interesting photograph to look at. There are so many questions that can come up because of how the image is composed. The rule of thirds isn't being used she is in the middle of the photo. She is a corner of two walls coming together and connecting. The angle is at a human eye view there isn't any bugs eye or bird's eye. This photo as a deep depth of field because everything is in focus. The focal point is this woman figure. It isn't framed it has a very simple look to the photo. The lines in the wall direct your eyes to the woman. The image is symmetrical because of the exact same pattern the photo has on both sides. There is extra space in the photo and the frame would cut of the rest of the room and walls.

The theme could have something to do with the color scheme. It could be what a woman does to look pretty maybe. There could be a story behind it but each viewer of the photo thinks differently. The artist intentions could be based on something [personal that happened to them. A dream they once had or even their own story they are trying to tell. The picture does make me think of some sort of story based on movies, stories, books all of the above. It even reminds be of halloween story i was told when i was young. I don't think this photo challenges any beliefs. This image is very interesting and make force you to think outside your box. It's very noteworthy because you usually don't see photography like this so it catches your eye.

I did like the photo it makes me think and wonder. It also reminds me of my childhood memories on halloween which is cool. The photo is successful a great composition but because it's so unique in its own way. You can put your own story behind the photo and use your imagination to create a story. The photo is very creative and can shows a lot of character.

The way the artist made the composition was by using the composite method. It is very interesting, so the way to make the photo you would take an image of the women holding the dress on a hanger and take a photo then she took a photo of her in the dress and masked and composited them together. And to always make it easier you need a background photo too. Its very good photo and is interesting to look at.

In this image there's a pink tutu dress with red sequins. The background is a pink wall with white trim and wood flooring. The person in this image is only seen by the gegs, there are no arms or head. The colors in this image are very warm. The lighting is very natural probably coming from a window. This image is very warm and fun and is different from other images I’ve seen.

I believe this composite is pleasing to look at. It is very different especially since only the legs appear in this image. In this image the rule of thirds is not being used. The subject is in the very middle. The point of view for this image is from another person looking at it. This image is using a deep depth of field since the whole image is in focus.

The focal point of this image is the dress and legs. The lines from the white trim directs your eyes to this focal point. This image does not crop anything off from the image. In the image there is also a lot of extra space. Overall I like this extra space though because it directs your attention to the subject.

I do not think the artist had an intention to make this image have a story. But you could put a story and interpret it anyway you want. I think the artist may have made it this way to allow you to come up with your own meaning or maybe remind you of something. This image does remind me of when I used to dance when I was around 5 or 6. I do think this image is Noteworthy.

I do enjoy this picture. I like it because it has a good vibe. And I like how it uses warm tones and has extra space. This allows you infer your own thoughts about this image. In this composite I enjoy and admire the detail she put through to create this image. Overall I enjoy this image very much.

This image is about a girl wearing a ballet kind of dress. The only part of her body being shown is her legs. The reason her head is not shown is not because it wasn't in the shot but because the photographer edited the image to make the photo look like the girl was headless. This image was a composite. That means that there were multiple layers of different images layered on top of one another.

The colors used in the image are very bland. The floor is hardwood, a brown color. There is a white outline on the walls at the bottom. The walls are a light pink. The image looks like it was taken a long time ago because of the filter that the image is actually in. The dress is pink, but more vibrant than the walls behind it.

I think that if you were just looking at this image without being a digital art student, you would think it is crazy that they got the image to be upperbody less. I think it is cool how you can only see the dress and legs because it adds that uncanny effect to it. There are lines that attract the viewer to look at the dress. The lines at the bottom that are white are lead in lines which means that they draw you to the subject of the image, such as a corner of a room like this image.

There is not a lot going on in the image. There is a lot of space between the subject and the edge of the image. I think the photographer just wanted to have everyone look at the subject and focus on that instead of anything else in the image. The point of view is third person. It is as if you were looking at the girl straight on.

I think this image is interesting because it shows the cool things you can do with photoshop or you can see it as a girl who doesn't have an upper body. It is a creepy image in a way that the image looks like it was from a long time ago. I like the tone of the image. It looks as if it was taken a long time ago but it really wasn't.

This image shows a dress that, at first glance and no prior knowledge, is floating in midair. This dress is supported only by the subject’s legs and feet. The subject’s upper body is invisible. The colors used in this image are primarily pink. This is to complement the dress’s color. The lighting appears to be originating from a window in midday. The only object present in this image is the dress and the subject’s feet. There is nothing that appears to be happening in this image, other than the subject’s upper body’s bizarre absence.

This composition is pleasing to look at due to the interesting color scheme and the unique nature of the image. The rule of thirds is not in effect here, because the subject is completely centered in the image. The photographer took the photo at an eye-level angle. The depth of field appears to be deep because the entire image is seen to be in focus. The focal point of the image is the subject. One of the most prevalent features of this image are the lines. The lines on the wall and on the floor all point towards the subject.

The image is very balanced, and the line work plays a good part in that factor. The subject does not entirely fill the frame, allowing space for the color scheme to take effect. The edges of the image do not contain any important substance that adds content or value to the image. The positive space is the subject, and the negative space is the wall in the background. A theme that appears to be in the image is that of the supernatural. Maybe it pertains to a previous experience of the author.

There may be a story being told in this image, but it appears to be all up to the author’s interpretation. Maybe this pertains to a childhood memory that she had, or maybe a bizarre experience. Perhaps it was a dream that she had at some stage in her life. This image does not remind me of anything in particular. This sort of concept is one that I have never delved into in my life. This may have challenged beliefs that others had, but it does not pertain to anything that I believe.

I believe that the image is interesting to look at. The extra editing provides substance and viewing pleasure. I both like and dislike this image. I like it due to the viewing aspect, but I dislike it because it does not provide me in particular with any extra insight because I have not experienced many things like this. The photograph is successful, however, because it relates more commonly with many other people.

The image is a picture of the lower half of a girl’s body. The picture looks like the other half of the girl is still there, but it is she is invisible. The picture has the person in a pink ballerina dress to let us know that the person is a girl. The colors in the picture are all pretty bright because it almost all pink. I think the girl in the image is meant to be creepy, but the pink background and dress make the image seem more innocent.

I think it is kind of pleasing to look at because it looks supernatural. The rule of thirds isn’t really being used because the girl isn’t standing at any of the intersecting lines. The point of view looks like it is from another kid because they are at about eye level. She is standing in the corner of a room, so your eyes are directed to the girl. The image doesn’t fill the entire picture because there is a lot of extra background wall in the picture.

I think one idea in the image is that the girl is a ghost, but only half a ghost. It looks like the girl is on the line between humanity, and the world of ghosts. I think the photographer made the image to make us feel uneasy and curious at the same time. The image reminds me of some horror movies I’ve seen. I think the image is very interesting.

I do like the image. I like horror movies a lot, so this sort of image interests me. The fact that the person is a kid makes the image have an extra creepy touch that it wouldn’t have if the person was an adult. I do think the image is successful. The image is successful in making what looks like could be a cover image for a horror movie.

I think the image was made with compositing. I think the person probably had one image where she just took a picture of the background for a base image. Then she probably took a picture of the dress hanging from something by itself. Then she probably took a picture of the person by herself. Then she probably put them on top of each other to make the final image.

The image is of a pink dress with a pair of legs no arms ,head ,or torso. The colors for the subject are bright while the outside colors or background color are dark or faded, it is like his to make the subject pop.The lighting is artificial coming from a lamp. The shadows are visible but are not dark. The only objects in the image are the dress and the legs. The only thing that is happening in the image is the girl in the pin dress is standing there.
The composition function makes the dress in focus, it is pleasing to look at because the background colors make the subject pop. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is in the middle of the frame. The point of view the image was taken at was in third person. The depth of field is shallow more focusing on the dress. The lines are on the skirt part were the pink is the brightest it leads your eyes to the torso or the legs. The subject does not take up the entire frame leaving tons of negative space.
One of the themes for this image could be people usually judge how people look in dresses instead of how the dress looks. I feel like there is no story being told. I feel like the artist made this image to show would you really judge someone for what they wear if there was no one to wear them. I guess this image could remind me of a horror film just a dress and a pair of legs sounds pretty creepy.I feel like this image could challenge a lot of beliefs you have if you dont no how the artist made it.
The image is a bit strange to look at but i don't hate it or like it.I hate it cause its a bit creepy. I like it cause it could make people wonder how the image was made.I feel like this image is successful. One reason is because why else would we be doing a critical analysis on it. But also she is very successful even at her young age.
The way the image was made was through compositing and masking. I feel like she tied fishing wire to hold up the dress to use it as a base image. Then took a picture of herself with it on. Then used photoshop to erase her torso head and arms.

This photograph by Lissy Elle Laricchia, is a composite image of a pink dress with legs standing in the corner of a pink room. The walls seem to be dirty and faded at the top and bottom. The only colors used in the photograph are brown, shades of pink, and skin tones. The dark brown adds a pop of color. The the lighting seems to be the window light of the sun. The only thing in the image is the subject. The subject is wearing a pink, puffy dress and only her legs are visible. The rest of the subjects body has been hidden through compositing.

The image is pleasing to look at because the photographs main color is a soft pink. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is in the middle of the frame. The photographer took this image from a head on eye level angle. The artist seemed to use a deep depth of field on the photograph although it is hard to tell because of the faded look it has. The focal point of the image is the subject and it is not being framed by anything.

The line between the two walls and the white molding provide strong leading lines towards the subject. One could also say that the main focal point of the subject is the skirt. The subjects legs, the straps of the dress, and the pattern on the top part of the dress are all leading lines to draw the eyes attention towards the skirt. The subject does not fill the frame, leaving extra space in the photo. The only things being cropped off in the image are the walls and floor but no information is perceived to be lost by this.

A theme or idea being conveyed in this image is childhood. The artist could be depicting a specific moment or memory she had when she was growing up that was important to her or her development. The image reminds me of something a little girl would wear to a dance recital or a party. The picture does not question or challenge any beliefs or assumptions of mine. This image is interesting because of the fact that it is a picture of a dress with legs.

I like this image because of the different shades of pink in it. The dirty or faded pink of the wall makes it seem that the image was created in an old house or room. However, the clean, bright pink of the skirt of the dress makes the subject pop. For some reason the fact the you can only see the subjects legs is not that weird to me. I believe this is because the main focus of the image is on the lower half of the body, the skirt and her legs. This is a beautiful photograph, however, this image did not speak to me.

Specifics
The image consists of two cornered pink pastel walls with a half of an imaginary girl standing in the middle of it. There is a pink leotard with the top half of the body missing while the legs are fully exposed in the image. The photographer clearly used pink as theme of the image with the walls and the leotard being different shades of pink. However, there are some cooler tones of brown in the wood flooring while the color of the skin and the white molding make contrast with the pink. The image was taken in a well lit area. The image appears to be of a girl that is missing half of her body.
Form
The image is very pleasing to look at with the girl centered in the middle of image. The angle at which the image was taken is straightforward and at an outside viewpoint. The image is in a deep depth of field with everything in the image being in focus. The lines in the image direct your eyes towards the middle of the image where the half human is photographed. The image is very symmetrical with the girl in the middle of the image.
The subject does not fill the entire space, but just a portion of it with a lot of extra space filling the image. The human is the positive space, while the surrounding free space is all negative. The image crops off at the negative space of the pink pastel walls. It gives the image a very clean and fresh look. This allows the observer to be able to focus on the message of the image.
Content
The artist seems to be a very feminist and this is portrayed through the image with the pink everything and the leotard. The theme of the image would be to show that when we think of pink and girly things all we can think of is girls. A very feminine way to view this would be that women and girls should not be only seem as fragile, compassionate, and weak. The artist made this to show awareness of our misconception and recall how we are not all weak and fragile. Yes, this questions the assumption that society usually makes on girls and women how we must work to change this.
Evaluate
Yes, this image is very nice. It has a clear message and the image portrays everything very clearly. The image, in my opinion, was very successful because the message was clear. It was easy to understand within the first couple minutes of observing the image. However, I feel like the image could have had more context to make it easy to comprehend the message at first glance. The artist has a nice way of portraying her images that the image is composed very well yet easy to view without getting to distracted or straight to the point.

This photograph is a composite image done by Lissy Laricchia. This image is taken in the corner of a room and the subject of this image is a dress. There appears to be a person standing in the dress, but the only part of the person that is seen are the legs. This is done through compositing. Compositing allows for the photographer to take two separate images and put them together in photoshop. In this image the photographer has taken a picture a self portrait of herself or a portrait of someone else wearing the dress and another picture of the dress on a hanger by itself and has put the two images together to make the final product. In this image compositing is used to make a very different image that causes you to question and think twice.

The dress in this image is placed in front of the corner of a room where two walls meet. This image uses leading lines by its placement. The dress is aligned with the corner of the room and the entire background of the image brings attention to the dress. The dress is pink and is placed in front of a pink wall/background, so the primary color in this image is pink. There is a white strip at the floor and a wooden floor which makes a small appearance at the bottom of this image. The background of this image uses pink but is overall very dull. This might have been done purposely to allow the dress to stand out the most in the image. Everything in the background looks dull and almost vintage, where the dress looks bright and shiny and new against the background.

The most interesting part of this image is the legs in the dress. The photographer made an interesting choice when choosing to only have the legs in the dress. The image that was taken with the body in the dress could have been a self portrait of the photographer or a portrait of someone else wearing the dress. Showing only the legs in the dress brings up many questions. How is the dress standing up by itself? The compositing in this image really causes you to think and question. The image tells a story and gives out a certain vibe and emotion. This image is almost creepy and gives a unsettling feeling for some reason. I think that the photographer was trying to give a sort of peculiar feeling when using compositing in this image.

The way that only the lower half of the body is pictured in the dress reminds me of invisibility. Because the head or upper half of the body isn’t pictured it is almost as if the person wearing the dress was invisible. To the right side on the wall there is a shadow of the shadow of the either the dress or with the person in the dress. It is unclear. This image also does not appear to be set up or taken in a studio. This image was most likely taken in the photographer’s home or just a casual house. The room that this image was taken in might look very normal or in good shape and the “vintage” look to this image might have been done through editing.

I do not necessarily think that there is anything beautiful about this image. It is not pleasing to the eye nor distracting or bad to look at. I do like the questions and thoughts that this image brings up. This image clearly sets a mood of being peculiar. This image is very successful in many terms. It uses good quality of light and is very well focused and it is clear what the the subject is in this image. This image is overall very successful and has a nice use of compositing.

This image is of a pink dress with a pink wall in the background. Under the dress’ skirt, there are legs but there is no body above the dress. The main color being used is pink, and there is also some white and brown. The image is well exposed; a little bit on the light side. I think that photograph was made in a bedroom, not a studio.

This image is pleasing to look at. One reason is because there are leading lines along the floor/bottom of the wall. The rule of thirds is not being used; the subject is completely centered. I think that the photographer was holding the camera a little bit low, maybe to show that this is supposed to be a child in the dress. A deep depth of field is being used, so the whole image is clear.

I think the main theme of this image is happy childhood. I can’t pick up on a story if there is one being told in this image, but the themes show youth and innocence. I think that the photographer made this image as a fun, light hearted photograph that looks pleasing. This image is interesting, because you wonder as the viewer, why the photographer chose to compose it this way. It is very interesting because of how there is nothing above the dress, but there are legs below it.

I like this photograph. I think that one of the main reasons why I enjoy looking at this is because of the colors. Pink is a cute, and fun color to use in art. Pink lightens the mood, and it especially looks good in this photograph because of the childlike dress. I think that this photograph is successful because it makes most viewers wonder how it was made, and why the photographer decided to make it.

This image was made using compositing. I think that the first step in the making of this photograph was so take a photo of the frame without anything in it. Next, the photographer probably took a photo of the dress hanging on a hanger by itself in the frame. The last image was most likely made of the subject wearing the dress in the same spot of the frame as the previous image was made. Finally, the photographer had to use editing to put all of these images together to make the final masterpiece.

The image is by Lissy Elle Laricchia. It is of a composite image that is of a dress. The image was composited to look like the bottom half of the dress is being worn but the top half is empty and is hanging from the ceiling. The image’s background is very simple, as the photo is taken on a wall. As for the colors in the image, everything is pink. The only exception to this is the wood flooring and the molding along the wall.

As for the composition of the image, it is taken in front of a wall. The corner of the room where the two walls meet. This makes it so that there are leading lines in the image where the molding is along the bottom of the walls. The image was taken from what would be a portrait. The whole dress is in view, and centered in the middle of image. There is obvious positive space in the image, and negative in the background with the walls.

I don’t think that the image is meant to tell a story. I think it is more meant to create an illusion. It was really just meant to make people wonder how it was made. The image is definitely unique and interesting, it is a unique composite photo. The photo seems almost like a dream. The photo may be inspired by one of her dreams.

I like the photo. It was meant to create a unique illusion, and it does this very well. The image just seems so professionally done. With composite images, differences in lighting can often cause mess up a composite image and cause inconsistencies in the lighting. This factor is a non-issue in this image, given how seamless it is. This photo handles such issues and difficulties incredibly well.

As far as how this image is made, it was started in multiple photos. After that each part of the dress was put into one image by masking everything around the part of the dress that would go into the main photo. After layering each photo over each other, the bottom part of one photo is revealed, as is the top portion of the dress on the other photo.

This is an image of a person wearing a pink dress just standing. Aside from that, the only objects in the shot are the corner of a wall and the wooden floor. The important thing to note is that in the photo, the person has no arms or head, only legs. There is a significant amount of pink in the photo, with both the wall in the background and the dress the person is wearing being pink. The lighting seems to come from windows not in view, but with the few shadows that there are in the photo it is hard to tell.

Since the person in the image has no arms or head, how was this image taken? Obviously, the image is a composite. It was most likely done by taking one photo of the person wearing the dress, then leaving the dress on a hanger by itself. Then, the two photos were most likely overlaid with the person's head and arms then edited out. Otherwise, the image could’ve possibly been taken by having someone tuck in their arms and head while standing (though unlikely).

The main focal point of the photo is the person wearing the dress. The person isn’t framed by anything, in fact they are framed by the lack of other things in the image to focus on. The lines in this photo all lead to the person in the dress, and they come from where the walls and floor meet. The rest of the image and the edges are taken up by the walls and the floor. Because the image only contains the person in the dress standing at the center, the image is fairly symmetrical.

There isn’t really an apparent theme to the image, given the lack of objects in the image to tell a story of what is going on. The artist seems to have made this image only for the purpose of looking interesting (or perhaps I am just shallow). Perhaps even as an example for digital art kids on what a composite can do. It does seem to be reminiscent of a kind of dream, but I’ve never had a similar one. Because there isn’t an apparent theme to this image, it also does not question any socio political views that I already have.

I do not hate this image, I simply don’t like it that much. I do not like that, other than that it demonstrates what a composite photo can do, it lacks to tell much of a story or achieve a purpose other than looking cool. True, while that is the purpose of many photos in existence, that is what makes them dull over time. If the purpose of the photo is to look appealing or give a demonstration of what a composite can do, then it does fulfill its purpose. But aside from that, the image is a bit less notable than the other images that we’ve seen; the images that have a theme or a more apparent purpose.
