Digital Art

The picture has a woman sitting alone in a dinner counter drinking while looking at the window while she’s bored.
This picture is kind of sad because Elizabeth is drinking a cup of coffee alone.
in a not so sunny weather, the weather is cloudy and her body gestures represent that she looks bored, someone can infer that she is waiting for someone or that she’s just depressed.

The lighting is great because it gives the image a kind of dark tone, to represent how she’s feeling, But what i’d rather do is darken the colors in the background like the cars and the house, I also like the tone of the colors, it's like dark but not too dark.

This image reminds me of a TV show because the lighting is the same and the tone is similar, It also reminds me of some dinners in houston and dallas because it feels like they’re the same place because they are so alike, the booths and the counters are really similar to other places. I also like the fact that you can see the cars in the background and if you zoom into the house window you can barely see whats inside.

I really like this image because of the tone and what it may symbolize depending on the viewer and the person who writes about this image.
You can infer that she is ad or depressed or also that she’s waiting on her breakfast and she’s bored. Many people could have different opinions about it but I think the image is really good, and it's pretty cool that if you look at the ceiling, you can see the reflection of the woman.

This image shows a woman drinking a cup of coffee by herself. She (to me) has a sad look in her eyes as she looks away and stares off into space. She also is sitting in what looks like an old dinner with nobody in it. The lighting in the picture seems very natural with a lot of the light coming from the outside windows. It also doesn’t look like it was set up for a studio shot.
The lines in this image are from the table, to the woman drinking coffee, and to the windows. The picture also doesn’t seem to be cropping off anything big apart from behind the counter. The positive space in the picture is the girl drinking coffee and the negative space in the picture is the background around her. The picture also seems to have a steady flow. It starts by looking at the girl and then everything around her.
I think there is a story being told in this image. I see a person who looks like she’s had a setback in her life and is reflecting on it and thinking about what could come next in her life. I see a lot of myself in this image because there are times when school can become a whole lot of our shoulders that sometimes we need to take a break and just pause our life. I think this image will resonate with a lot of people who have a lot going on in our lives. The picture itself isn’t very interesting but when you look more into it you can see more of yourself in it.
I like this image. I think that I see a lot of myself in this picture. This picture does a very good job at grabbing your attention by how simple yet effective it is. I think this image was very successful at doing its job. And I think that a lot of other people will see themselves in this image.

Critical Analysis
In the image there is a girl with coffee sitting in a diner. She stands out because of her dress. The photo is bright especially near the windows. Some things that are in the photo is some cars, a cup, a house in the background, and sugar. The girl looks like she is drinking coffee waiting for someone or thinking about something.

This photo reminds me of whenever I went to a diner like Ihop or Waffle House. The colors on the wall get my attention first. The photographer took the photo on the edge of the counter. The photo has a small depth of field. I would say that the photo has a fast shutter speed.

In the photo, the girl looks like he is waiting on a person to come. She looks like she is thinking about something. She looks depressed when looking out the window of the diner. The photo makes you ask questions like, is she alone or is she sad. The photo is very interesting to look at because of all the colors.

I like the photo. It reminds me of when I was young. I think that the photo was successful because it makes the person who is looking at it think just like the girl in the photo. All the different colors is nice to look at. That is why I think the photo is successful.

KURT BLISS- The image is of a blonde woman sitting in a cafe alone drinking coffee and looking out the window to see a cloudy hazy day. Its using very gloomy warm colors like grey, blue, and white. Colors that display sadness and depression. The image is specifically putting an emphasis on how the women and environment are interacting. In the image the women and the coffee have a relationship, the weather and the women’s sadness have a relationship, and her thoughts and the world around her have a relationship. She is obviously deep in thought and the environment and world around her is impacting those thoughts.

The image itself is very pleasing to look at using an excellent blend of colors to form an overarching tone or mood. The photographer took the photo as a landscape but positioned herself to emphasize the women and specific things in her environment while keeping the other things relevant around her. The photographer uses a deep depth of field in this photograph. The subject, which most people would think is the women, I think it is both her and her environment fills the entire frame to capture an image that describes how the environment portrays the womens dark and gloomy emotions and thoughts at the time while at the same time partially producing those same thoughts.

I think the image portrays the women’s emotions through the use of the space around her. The environment is a true protection of her feelings and inward thoughts. The coffee is a projection of the warmth she looks for both in life and in her relationships, the cloudy grey sky is a projection of her gloomy depressed feelings and thoughts, and the torn chair represents her broken mental state and her torn emotions about something she is wrestling in her mind. All of these things that surround her, the external objects really are portraying the conflict, emotion, feeling, mood, and tone inside of her. The artists made this image to reflect the emotions that plague us everyday and to portray that we affect the people and environment around us ame as the environment affects us. The image to me atleast is very noteworthy and interesting.

I did enjoy this image very much. It told me about the photographer and herself as an artist. I think in a lot of ways it's portrayal of us as humans and her as a person as well. The photograph was very successful in making me think about life and making me think hard about the image itself. I liked this photograph a lot and enjoyed its dark theme.

The image is of a woman sitting at a cafe counter drinking coffee by herself. Some colors the image is using are different types of blues, probably to show how sad the woman is. It is a pretty bright photo except for the shadows in the corners of the image. Some objects in the image are the counter stools like the one she is sitting on, the coffee mug, the counter, and the woman. In the image a woman is sitting in a cafe drinking coffee by herself wearing really casual clothes.

The point of view of the image is from the same side of the counter facing the side of the woman. The woman is in the middle of the image but it is not comepletly focusing on her so it is a deep depth of field. The focal point of the image is the woman and the image is not framed. The subject does not fill the image, there is a lot of space around her. At the edge of the image is a window, the cafe counter, and the ceiling of the cafe.

One of the main ideas in the image is loneliness, the subject is lonely and she looks depressed. I think the story being told in this image is a depressed woman going to a cafe to drink coffee. Cig Harvey made her images to have a family feel. The image reminds me of Gilmore Girls because the mom and daughter are always going to Luke’s cafe for coffee. I don’t think the image challenges any beliefs. The image is interesting in that you want to know what the woman is thinking about in the cafe.

I don’t really like the image because the woman in it looks sad. And I don’t really like thinking about depression. The image is successful because it is very clear and crisp. It does a good job telling the viewer that the woman is sad because of her state of being and the colors in the photograph.

The image has a lot of blues and greys and other cold tones that give it that kind of sad, dark, unhappy feel. There is, however, a very bright feel to it as well because of the lighting. There are not many shadows which makes it pop. The lady in the photo is most likely thinking about something, or waiting for someone given the little expression that we can see on her face because of the angle.

There is a kind of near depth of field, everything in the background is blurry. The lines in the photo direct you right to the lady in the center of the photo. While the photo isn’t really framed, it is cropped really well. They stop right where you want them to stop. There is also a lot of empty space, with only a few chairs, a menu and a bottle of salt.

The theme in the image is pretty much gloomy, and kind of sad, with a touch of hopefulness, just because she looks like she is waiting for someone. It really reminds me of every sad TV show or movie ever, with the gloomy darkness and sad feeling. The image is also quite beautiful with the color choice. Despite being a sad image, there is a lot of color that makes it stand out.

I like the image because it’s nice to look at, while also giving the sad feeling of a breakup or something like that. It was really successful in its composition and color choice.

This image gives an alone type feeling. There is a white woman sitting on a stool with her hand on a cup of whats probably coffee. There is sugar on the table and a coffee cup in her hand so that’s why i think shes drinking coffee so its probably morming. She has blonde hair and is wearing a light tan sweater with a purple skirt thing. She’s resting her arm and left elbow on the table. She is looking out the window with her chin rested on her hand.

She looks like she’s staring at something through a window so she’s probably zoned out and thinking. Through the window that she’s looking out of there’s a blue house with a couple of windows. The house doesn’t look very nice and is probably old. The house is right by the road which we can see on the window to the left of the other window. There’s 3 cars on the highway.

There’s an empty stool thats focused which gives this picture more of an alone feeling. The woman could be waiting for someone or she is simply by herself. Through the two windows that we see it’s blurred from the fog and looks like it’s morning. It might also be cold because she wearing a light sweater. The wood around the windows is brown and the ceiling and wall below the windows are blue. The wall below the window has a black line a blue tile looking wall. The wall also has an outlet on it.

This picture reminds me of many shows and movies iv’e seen. Shows like the punisher, daredevil, and titans. The photographer shot the photo to the right of the woman at the end of the table. There is extra space the subject doesn’t fill the whole frame. The image cuts off other tables to give more of that alone feeling. This image isn’t interesting and isn’t note worthy. It’s just another person looking at a window it’s nothing special, therefore I don’t care for it.

This image depicts a woman sitting at a table with a cup of coffee looking out of the window. I think she might be at a diner/restaurant, as on the table there is a menu behind the container of salt. It looks like this was taken in the morning, and it is foggy outside. The woman is wearing a tan sweater and this leads me to believe that it is cold outside. There is a lot of blue in this image, seen in the walls of the building as well as the walls of the adjacent building and the chairs/stools. The woman has a mug, which is probably filled with coffee or tea, as the image seems to be shot in the morning, so I would guess that her drink would be one of those two. It is well-lit. It isn’t bright sunlight, but it isn’t too dark. The woman could possibly waiting for someone, or she might just be relaxing and drinking coffee to wake up.
I think the image is pleasing to look at, as it looks like what relaxing feels like. I like the colors in the building as well, and it just looks good. The artist shoots this photo at eye-level, which makes it feel like you are standing there in that building, looking at the scene. I believe that this photo was shot using deep depth of field, as everything in the building is in focus. The only part that is out of focus is the part where you can see outside through the windows, but this makes sense because it is foggy outside and also the windows don’t look like they are the cleanest, so the image gets the window area as sharp as it can. The woman is the focal point of this image. The wood that frames the windows draws you towards the middle, where the woman is. The black tiles on the lower part of the wall draw your attention towards the woman as well. The table in the middle also draws your attention to the woman. I think that the image is pretty symmetrical, as the woman is in the middle, and there are windows on both sides, and the ceiling is symmetrical, so I think it is pretty close to symmetrical. The table and the left window get cut off, but that is pretty much it.
I think one of the main themes of this image is solitude, as the woman is alone, and there aren’t really any signs of other humans in the image. I think the story behind this image is pretty straightforward. I think the woman just wanted to go get a cup of coffee or tea on a chilly morning, and is just starting to wake up as she drinks. I don’t really know what it reminds me of, but I think it reminds me of this small restaurant in a small town in Newfoundland I went to. It doesn’t really make me question any of me beliefs. I think the image is interesting though.
I like this image. The chill vibe of the image just makes me feel relaxed. It just makes me want to be somewhere chilling and not worrying about other things. I like the colors inside the building, especially the wood. I like how there is not too much going on, and the photo is centered around one person. Sometimes images that have a lot of things going on don’t seem visually pleasing to me. Simple images can be just as good as ones with many things going on.

This is an image of a woman sitting alone at the counter of what seems to be a diner, and holding a coffee mug in her right hand. The Woman is looking out the window of the diner. Some details that I see are the menu and the salt or sugar shaker next to it. I can also see that the walls of the diner are line with blue and black tiles. Outside the window there's a blue house, a blueish green fence and a street. It also appears to be sunny. In this image there are lots of dark blues, blacks, and other dark colors, especially inside the diner. But outside its brighter and although there is still blue colors they’re lighter. There isn't a whole lot of colors that we can see outside because it’s too bright but we can also see some greens as well. The lighting inside the diner is darker with more shadows and there's lots of light outside the diner with almost no shadows. The objects included in this image other than the woman are the coffee mug, a salt (or sugar) shaker, a menu, some stools, a counter top, two windows, an outlet, a house, a fence, a street, and some cars and trucks. In this image a woman drinking coffee alone in a dark diner and is looking out the window into what appears to be a bright sunny day.

The image is pleasing to look at, but it's not very interesting to look at because there's not a whole lot happening. The rule of thirds is being used because there is a counter top in the foreground, the women drinking coffee in the middle ground, and a house in the background. The angle of the picture is taken directly from the side of the woman, almost as if the picture was taken from someone sitting at one of the stools at the counter. A more shallow depth of field is being used in this image. The image has a smaller focal point and is not framed. There are lines in this image and they’re the lines of the counter top. They direct your eye from the foreground to the middle ground (the woman) and then to the background (the house). The image is balanced. The subject mostly fills the frame, but there is a little extra space along the outlines. Some little details are cropped off the edge.

A theme in the image is aloneness. I don’t think a story is being told. The artist probably made this image to display their emotions. This image doesn't really remind me of anything specific. The image does not question any of my beliefs. I think the image isn’t very exciting there's not a whole lot going on.

I personally don’t like it because it’s boring. This photograph is successful because there's nothing technically wrong with it.

The image presented reveals a woman sitting alone at what looks like a dinner or café while drinking a hot drink. The weather outside looks cloudy and one assumes that it’s somewhat cold based on what she’s wearing. The colors in the image go in contrast with each other really well because they all in a sense match. Nothing is out of place or seems odd or awkward in the picture. The image is supposed to focus more on the woman and inside of the café rather than outside.
This image is pleasing to look at because the colors are in contrast and I like how there are different shades of blue. There is blue on the seats, the wall, and the house that is outside of where the woman is sitting in the background. There is a mix of deep and shallow depth of field. This is because the woman is the main character in the photograph and it blurs out the background. At the same time, however, she’s not the only one in focus. There are multiple other objects such as the wall, the seats, the sugar, and the woman’s sweater. This photograph is symmetrical because the artist made her model the center of the photo. The spacing between the top and the bottom of the picture made her be the center of attention, the main focus. I feel like the lines were going and leading the way to her based on how the picture is taken and the table that leads the eyes to her. The negative spaces in this image are the places where the author captured little light and now there are dark spots that don’t have much focus. These spaces are underneath the wall where the tiles end. The positive space is where there are many light spots and they are mostly above from her, in the background where the windows are.
The themes or ideas in this image I think is that being alone is not always as bad as people think and that sometimes you just need time for yourself. You don’t always have to be accompanied and it is alright to just zone out and relax. I don’t think there is a big or complicated story behind this image, I just think that the artist wanted to portray solitude, the good kind. I believe that the artist did do on purpose, especially since there is no one else around. I think that this image challenges the idea of being alone and how we always complain or think that it’s a bad thing. It almost reminds me of times where you wake up or are doing something and you just stare into space and shut off your brain. You are so deep in thought or silence that you forget everything around you.
I really like this image because it looks as if she were really relaxed and just taking her time for herself. The weather also brings out a sense of comfort in me because cloudy days are my favorite type of days. They make me really happy and put me in a good mood despite many people feeling depressed or gloomy. Many say that the cloudy weather affect their moods in a bad way but it is the total opposite for me. That is why I like the picture so much. You can interpret it accordingly to your own likes and beliefs.

This image depicts a lady sitting in a diner, looking somewhat longingly out of a window. She has a cup of coffee, and from what we can see is the only diner in the restaurant. Outside the window, we can see that it is pretty overcast, giving the photo a more dreary mood. There are several different shades of blue in the image, which also add to the overall tone. Another thing to note is the sort of rundown, weariness of the diner chairs, window, and even the house outside.

It appears as though the photographer took the photo from eye level, and slightly to the right of the woman in order to better capture the house that we see through the window. The line formed by the side of the table helps to direct the eyes toward the woman. Most of the frame in this photo is being filled, with very little negative space. I think that the color palette of the image makes it nice to look at. The stools, wall, and even the woman’s shoes all contribute different shades of blue, making it visually appealing.

A theme we can see in this image is the overall gloominess. The body language of the woman shows us that she is upset or maybe bored. Even the weather is another factor adding to the tone and theme of the image. This photo also feels sort of mysterious, as we can’t see the woman’s face to get a better idea of how she feels. From our point of view, it vaguely looks as though another person is in the house across the street, looking back at the woman, but this adds even more to the mystery.

I do like this image, and think that it was successfully taken. I think that it prompts questioning.
The photographer gives us some of the information, while also leaving room for us to be imaginative. The viewer can decide for themselves how to interpret it based on what is given. To me, the best artworks are those that give clarity without being to revealing of everything going on, which is why I enjoy this photo in particular.

The image is a woman alone at a bar drinking coffee. It seems like that the restaurant doesn't get a lot of customers.it is empty and it seems that the girl is thinking or looking off into the sky. It seems like a hole in the wall or like a small local coffee shop that isn't in the best condition but still kept clean. The colors in the picture are kinda a lighter happier blue feeling. The colors are kinda the same and their aren't a bunch of colors that make the image confusing it kinda is straight to the point. The lighting doesn't cast many shadows and the image is kinda even with the lighting and is well distributed. There's a girl in the middle of the frame and there are 3 other props in the frame but that's pretty much it. So the image isn't confusing for the viewers. The girl in the image seems to be thinking or looking outside while holding a cup of coffee.

The image is a pleasing image to look at and isn't difficult to know what's happening. The angle is kinda a side shot and the subject is in the center of the frame so it is not using the rule of thirds. You can see most of the background so it has a long depth of field.the lines are kind of on the table and on the wall and it kinda directs you to the middle. The image is sort of symmetrical windows are not perfectly aligned in frame but it isn't at an angle. The piece of wood in the middle of the frame lets you know that it is a pretty symmetrical image. There is extra space in the frame that isn't really filled with anything b ut that kinda helps your eyes direct to the subject and not elsewhere. The edge of the image seems to not cut off a lot maybe like a table or a waiter but no something that would make the image better.the negative space is kinda at the top and bottom of the image but the positive sp[ace is in the windows where the light is coming is to light up the subject.

It seems like the girl is getting some coffee to take a break or just trying to chill it seems like it may be cold or chilly day because of what she is wearing and how it looks outside. I can't tell but it looks like snow is on the railing in the left window but its to over exposed for me to tell if it is or not. I figured that when i assumed that it is cold outside, it made a lot more sense. So now i feel like it is a winter day and she is getting coffee at a shop and nobody is really their because its winter. The image is basic but yet pleasing to look at. The image kinda reminds me of a cold winter day having fun in the snow and something you would see in a movie.

I like the image its calming and very basic but still pleasing to look at. I think this is a successful image one because it's not a lot of colors being thrown at you it's very basic.
