1. Wegman uses a 20x24 polaroid camera.
2. Some obstacles with photographing dogs is to get them to stay still and for them to stay in the position you want them to.
3. Some things that influence his work are comedians and a writer.
4. He compares his videos to T.V. and Ad time.
5. Wegman says that using the same camera equipment is good for his dogs because it stayed the same.
6. I like William Wegman’s work. I like his work because they are always of his dogs but in many different styles or ways. Knowing that it is hard to get an animal to stay in that position and for the image to look good makes you appreciate his work a lot more.

What kind of photographs does Wegman make? What camera/equipment is he known for using?
Big polaroid 20 x 24 inch. He does huge instant pictures
Consider your own experience as a photographer. What are some obstacles that might be associated with photographing animals?
They move quickly, and you can't really communicate with them in order to ask them to pose in a specific way or ask them not to do something.
What does Wegman say are some things that influence his work?
Some comedians like Bob and Ray, authors like Jorge Luis Borges with their abstract ideas.
What does Wegman compare his video pieces to?
Entertainment for TV.
What does Wegman say about what kind of equipment you should work with?
He doesn’t necessary talk about which equipment but rather what should you photograph. He says that you should photograph a person, or animal that you really love because this brings you closer to them.
Do you like or dislike William Wegman's work? Why?
Of course I like William Wegman’s work. I like it because he is original, and he is loyal to his work. By this I mean he didn’t just publish one series of pictures like this, but he developed even further this idea for many years now.

What kind of photographs does Wegman make? What camera/equipment is he known for using?
He makes 20x24 polaroid photographs. The camera in particular is a very uncommon camera with only four operating normally in the world, 2 in museums, and one no longer in service.
Consider your own experience as a photographer. What are some obstacles that might be associated with photographing animals?
Animals are difficult to work with due to having a mind of their own, and the inability to understand what you want. Working with people, you can say “Turn a little”, but with dogs, it’s more of a get what you get kinda photo. You just have to hope you like the position and look they’re already in
What does Wegman say are some things that influence his work?
He’s influenced by comedians, writers, and the medium that he was working in.
What does Wegman compare his video pieces to?
He compared his to ads on TV, with shorter films, but more interesting.
What does Wegman say about what kind of equipment you should work with?
You should work with equipment that helps you capture the things and moments you love.
Do you like or dislike William Wegman's work? Why?
I personally really like his photographic work, due to the subjects. I think the level of dedication he must’ve had to work with dogs is really high. Conversely, I enjoy the videos less, because they seem random and weird, with less though put into each moment. I think this comes from the fact that with video, he could rewatch it and move on, leading him to end up with more quantity than quality works in that area.

William Wegman takes photographs of his dogs with a 20 by 24 Polaroid
Some obstacles when photographing dogs is that they might not be very obedient, they will move very often and it will be very hard to take a good picture when they aren't moving.
The idea of circular time of the writer Borges had influence on him to make the photographs.
He compares his videos to the comedians Bob and Ray.
He says to photograph something you love, like your family or animals.
I like Wegman’s work because it is different from other photographers, not a lot of famous photographers will photograph animals.

William Wegman makes photographs about his dogs. One of his main inspirations were comedians bob and rae. The writer bourgeois was also an inspiration to William Wegman. One of the things that could be a potential obstacle if you are photographing dogs is that it might not always be the way you want it to be. They are animals and they are not always obedient. They could potentially move out of place and not follow your command which could be irritating. He doesn't shoot with ree cameras, he says he doesn't like them and prefers other cameras. He said that him talking to the monitor led him to make these stories. William Wegman uses a polaroid camera. He uses a twenty by twenty four inch camera.

Wegman made photographs that you would see in a magazine. He used to use a 2 ¼ camera but then he used a 20 by 24 camera.

The hard part about photographing animals is that they don’t like to stay still and animals can’t really understand humans so they often won’t do the pose you want them to.

Wegman’s influences are Bob & Ray and Borges, at least he thought of them as he was making his photos and videos.

Wegman compared his videos to ads on TV because they were around 30 seconds.

Wegman suggests not to use reel cameras.

I think Wegman’s work is pretty neat because it reminds me of those advertisements on clothing stores.

1. Wegman made photographs for magazines and media, not to be hung on walls. He used a 2 ¼ camera and used 8.5x11 prints. He later used a 20x24 polaroid.
2. The animals would have to be well trained. The dogs could move around while shooting or not look where you want them to.
3. Wegman was influenced by comedians and writers.
4. He compares his videos to TV ads or short films.
5. Wegman says that you should stay consistent and use equipment that allows you to photograph things you love.
6. I don’t like his videos because I could not figure out their purpose and they were weird. I do like his photographs because I love dogs. I admire that he has the dogs behave so well that he can create art with them.

1.William Wegman takes photos of dogs. He used a 20 by 24 polaroid camera and a monitor.
2.Some problems that occur when photographing animals is that they can’t stay still because most animals are constantly moving.
3.What influences Wegman is writers and comedians.
4.He compares his video pieces to the ads on TV.
5.He says that you should photograph something you love so you feel closer to your artwork.
6.I like his artwork because he did really well with photographing bis dogs and didn’t give up despite the process of keeping his dogs in place. I like how each of his photographs were different but he still kept his dogs as his main subjects.

Wegman makes images that are 8X10 or magazine size and with a 2 and a quarter camera. He makes his photo for magazines not to be put on a wall.

Animals can be very difficult to photograph because they don’t listen and don’t hold pose how you want them to. They also don’t stay in a pose and don’t always listen and do what you want.

His influences are comedians and a writer.

He compares his video to to buying a suit with your mother, seeing yourself in a three way mirror.

He says you should work with someone that you love or an animal that you love because it brings you closer in your relationship to them.

I do like his work. I think it’s something unique that no one else does and is really cool. I also like how he uses dogs in his work.
