Some things to consider:
  • What steps the artist had to take to make this photograph happen?
  • What does the perspective that this was taken from suggest about the artist?
  • A self-portrait tells us something about the person being photographed. What do you think this artist wants us to take away from her photograph?

This image depicts a woman in a red and white dress seemingly levitating in mid-air. There’s a wall in the background with presumably Japanese writing. The human consists of a mix of red and white; the wall is a dull gray, and the nature above the wall is green, which all highlights contrast and creates 3 aspects of the image. The lighting is natural, using sunlight and shadows to give focus to the woman. The woman was captured while in mid-air, and her facial expression is eccentric for someone who is jumping. She’s looking off into the horizons of the sky, maybe even around the sun.

The image is pleasing to look at because of how geometrically oriented it is. The woman is centered right in the middle, and sidewalk below is slightly cut off and elevated right at the middle. It looks like we’re in a train station, and the view of the woman could be from the perspective of someone in the train or the actual train itself. There’s no rule of thirds being used, and the frame doesn’t cut off anything important. A deep depth of field is being implemented in that everything is in focus.

Without any other context, I personally don’t see a logical story in the image. The only lead I have is that this is a self-portrait, so maybe Hayashi is giving light through this relatively abnormal pose a quality of her personality. Maybe she feels lost in space, but her facial expression indicates that she’s found something worthwhile in her life and is pondering whether to chase it. Maybe the image’s sole purpose is to entertain its audience by condensing the very fast-paced action of jumping into one moment in time. The image is beautiful, but it does not challenge any of my political, ethical, or social beliefs.

I like this image for aesthetic reasons. There’s shapes and lines and an overall balance that keeps a flow of order with an equally composed person in the image, given her expression. I’m just not able to relate to the sentiments the author might be conveying in this image. If I saw this in a museum, I’d give it a quick glance, remark about how interesting the pose is, and move on. It doesn’t give clues that would indicate a narrative as well as other pictures I’ve seen. The success of the photograph depends on what the author’s intent was when publishing it.

To make this image, Hayashi had to capture herself in mid-jump from the tracks of a train. She probably had to use a tripod that was oriented in such a way to keep the image symmetric. A deep depth of field is present, so a more narrow aperture was probably implemented. I’d infer that the camera didn’t take one picture while she was jumping, but it continuously took images throughout the jump, and this one happened to fit the bill. Also, considering she’s trying to avoid motion blur and capture one moment in time, a very fast shutter speed was probably factored into this image.

The photograph by Natsuumi Hayashiara of a girl in a white and red dress floating in a chinese place where trains go passing by with a rain forest/jungle as a background. The image is using bright colors to make the image seem pleasing to look at. The photograph does not use the rule of thirds while having not dark lighting. The photograph has a background of trees.
The photograph is composed using frame and is pleasing to look at because it has bright colors and makes you question gravity. The point of view is that of the third person or of a person just walking in the place where trains pass and encountered the floaty girl. The photo is balanced in a symmetrical way, the photo only has some extra space in the left edges.
The theme and idea I am getting from this photograph is the idea that anyone can defy gravity if they wish to, while the story of the floaty girl mysteriously floating in the image makes it look straight from a movie. I do not know the meaning the photographer wanted to show in the image besides it being a really nice photo while the image does not remind me of anything.
The steps I think for the photographer to take such a good photograph was that first set up the camera on tripods and set a timer with a quick shutter speed while waiting for the right time of day and hoping for a clear sky.
My opinion of the image is that I liked it because of the good lighting and noticeable colors like green in the trees and the red in the middle of all the gray. I think the image was incredibly successful due to its way of making you try and figure out what happened in the photo and why it happened.

The image is a self portrait of the artist levitating over a platform. The artist is wearing a red dress with a white shirt underneath. She is also wearing red sneakers. In the background, there is a wall with graffiti. Above the wall, there are the tops of trees. There is writing on a pole in Japanese.

The image is using gray, green, and red. The lighting is in sunlight with shadows. In the image it appears that the artist is levitating. Instead, it is most likely the case that the artist jumped and took a picture of herself in air. The artist is also looking at something. This could mean that the artist was jumping to get a better look at something. It could also mean that she’s just looking into the distance as a pose for the self portrait.

The image is pleasing to look at because the red and the gray contrast. The rule of thirds is not being used. The point of view is from the camera looking at the artist instead of the artist herself. The image has a large depth of field. The focal point is the artist. There are lines on the wall in the background and a line of tree tops. The lines direct the viewer’s eyes to the subject, the artist. The image is asymmetrical.

The artist made this image as a self portrait of herself. The story that could be told in this image is that the artist saw something and jumped up to get a better look at it while taking a self portrait. Another story is that the artist was looking into the distance as a pose for the self portrait. This image does not remind me of anything. It is interesting.

I like the image. I mostly like it because the graffiti on the wall looks pretty cool. I also like the contrast between the red dress and the gray background. I believe the photograph is successful. I think it’s successful because it looks good as a picture and a self portrait.

This image depicts a young woman, maybe in her early to mid twenties, in the air in a way that it almost looks like she is levitating. Behind her we can see a metal fence and behind that, there are some trees. Also, to the left of her, there is a metal post with Japanese characters inscribed on it. Judging by the shadows in the photo, we can tell that t must be about mid day with good lighting and warmer colors. And if we look closely, we can see writing and drawings on the metal fence.
When first looking at this image, my eyes are directed across the photo because of the many lines on the fence behind the woman. Although the rule of thirds is not being used, the focal point of this image is quite obvious, as she is in the center of the frame and the colors of her dress stick out as compared to the rest of the image. This color allows the viewer’s eyes to be directed at the woman, without taking away from the rest of the image. Both the road and the fence do a good job of taking up a lot of the frame, leaving no part of the image unused or boring. What also makes this image pleasing to look at is the fact that the entire image is in focus, indicating high f/stop.
Where this image confuses me is in its ambiguity. It doesn’t seem to have any obvious themes, and where there is room for interpretation, there are too many meanings that can be derived from this image to be decisive. But what I do applaud the photographer in is her ability to capture such an image that makes the subject seem to float in mid air, while still capturing the essence in full clarity. What I mean by this is that the image was taken in such a way that the photographer managed to make it seem as though she were floating, without sacrificing any visual clarity or discarding the essence or story of the photo. However, I think the photo’s ambiguity is also a nice touch in the sense that is makes you stop and question what you are looking at.
But if I were to give an interpretation, it would be imbedded in the way that this photo was taken, almost frozen in time. The image gives seems to invite us in as everything else is stopped around the focal point, and even the focal point herself. The photo gives us an invitation to come into a moment in time when things might not be going so well for her. The photo exemplifies the human aspect of life, showing us that we all make mistakes sometimes and that that is ok. It shows us that we are all human and do things wrong, and that it's ok to not be perfect.
I particularly like this photo because of how ambiguous it is. It leads me to many interpretations, and shows me things about myself, I otherwise wouldn’t have looked far enough to reach. Although this photo has probably been seen and exhibited hundreds of times by many different people I will probably never meet, I feel like this photo speaks to me on a personal level. I also like it because I think and hope that other people have the chance to see this photo and others like this, and have their own moment of self-recollection. I think the authors point was to keep this photo as much of a mystery as possible, so I believe that she was very successful.

In this image, there is a girl in a pink dress and a long sleeved white shirt seemingly levitating over a walkway. She is tilted to the right in midair. The walkway drops off in the foreground. This shows that this is probably taken at a train station. There is a gray wall behind her that is a grimy, light gray wall behind her in the middle ground on which people have written in the grime. There are a few green trees in the background.

The colors used in this image are mostly the grays of the urbanized area around her and the greens of the forest in the background and in the weeds on the sidewalk. This makes the pink of her dress and her shoes really stand out. The lighting is natural. It appears to be mid afternoon due to the shadows. In the image, she seems to be looking right at the sun which makes her face look very light toned and doesn’t show much shadow.

I think this image is pleasing to look at, mostly because of the colors used. The pink contrasts well with the gray and the green. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is in the center. The picture was taken from across the train tracks. The image looks at her straight on, even though she is looking away. There is a deep depth of field. You can see the trees in focus in the background of the image as well as the walkway in the front. The lines of the wall and the walkway really direct your attention right to the subject. I think there is extra space on the sides of the photo.

I think the idea of this image is to look at the nature in the background. I think the photographer made this image to show the nature even in the urban areas of public transport. The weeds in the sidewalk and the fact that she is looking up towards the trees and the sun shows the nature part of the photograph. I also think that the trees look like an entire forest or jungle, not just a couple of trees to maybe make the train station look pretty. I think the levitating part also helps the argument towards nature. She is moving up towards the trees instead of down towards the train platform.

I like this image because it shows the beauty of nature even in an urban (or almost urban) area. I really like the writing on the wall behind her because I think it shows that other people didn’t really bother with the nature around them. They didn’t levitate towards the trees. They stayed on the ground and only thought about the big stuff directly around them instead of seeing the little things. I think this image is successful because it accents the beauty of nature in a lesser seen way. Nature in urban areas.

This image is of a “floating” girl who is wearing a bright red sundress with a long white-sleeve shirt on underneath it. She is wearing red sneakers and has her dark colored hair pulled up. She appears to be floating or levitating, when in reality she just took the picture while jumping to give the appearance of floating. On the far left, there is a sign written in a foreign language, most likely Japanese or Chinese, which indicates that she is somewhere in Asia. The girl is floating in front of an iron/metal wall with faint graffiti on it, and behind the wall there are many vibrant green trees. I think she is on a sidewalk, but it is hard to tell because infront of where she is standing it looks like the sidewalk ends and there is nothing left to stand on, which could mean that the setting takes place on a roof of a building.

This photo is very pleasing to look at because the red dress pops against the darker grey colors, which is very appealing to the eye. The girl is centered, which means she didn’t use the rule of thirds. The photograph is taken from a straight on view, just like how a standing person would see the girl. The focal point of this image is the red dress because it is placed against the white shirt and all the grey colors, which makes it stand out. The image is mostly symmetrical with the girl in the middle, the metal wall on both sides and the trees in the background. The metal wall seems to go on to the right, but on the left, it looks like a building was cropped off next to the sign.

It is hard to tell what the story behind the image could be because there are so many ways to decipher it. One way someone could see it as is the girl is floating away from reality and letting her imagination take her places. I believe that the artist made this image to showcase the magical things that happen in reality and to let your imagination run free, even as you get older. Obviously it is impossible to float in the air without advanced technology, which is why the viewer of this image knows the photographer is trying to tell something about imagination or escaping from reality. The image is very beautiful in my opinion because the girl looks so peaceful and graceful while floating, which makes the image feel calming.

To create this image, the photographer either had someone take the picture for her, or used a tripod with a timer on it. The position the girl is in looks very peaceful, which must have been really difficult to accomplish given she had to quickly pose in the air before she fell back to the ground. The girl looks like she really is floating, which is very impressive and pleasing to the eye. This image must have taken a very long time because she had to make sure the posing was perfect and that there was no blur because she was in motion. The way you can tell she is jumping and having the picture taken and that she wasn’t just hanging from a tree branch with a clear rope like in movies is if you look at her hair, you would see that it is lifted in the air, which is unnatural if she wasn’t jumping.

Overall, I really enjoyed analyzing and looking at this photo. The contrast between the dull greys and the bright red dress made the image extremely appealing to the eye. Also, the dedication and hard work it must have taken to capture this image is unbelievable. The girl looks so graceful and it really does look like she is floating, which is hard to do if you are jumping into the air and posing as fast as you can. The girl looks like she is being lifted up into the sky in an angelic way because of the bright light from the sky that is shining right on her. So in my opinion, this image was very successful and pleasing to the eye.

The image is of a woman that appears to be levitating on the edge of train tracks. You can tell that it is train tracks because of the dip of the ground underneath her. The colors are bright and vibrant and there is a lot of shadows along with the light. The picture was probably taken during the middle of the day when there is the most prominent sunlight that would give the bright look of the image. The woman’s pinkish dress stands out from the gray background.
In the image, a woman looks like she is levitating off the ground while looking backward at the sky. The wall around the train tracks is heavily graffitied. The foliage on the other side of the wall makes it look like a train hasn’t been through there in a while so they stopped trimming and keeping up maintenance. There is also a sign on the left of the image that I don’t know what it says but I’m assuming that it’s the name of a city or the name of the train stop. The woman also gives off a bit of a childlike vibe because of the outfit that she is wearing.
The rule of thirds is not being used in this image because the woman is in the middle of the frame. A deep depth of field is being used because everything in the frame is in focus and clear. On the far left of the image, almost out of frame, is the sign on the pillar; the photographer could have cut that out of the frame but she didn’t so it must have meant something important to the overall image and story. There are the gridded lines on the wall in the background and the diagonal line of the shadow that draw your eye to the levitating woman. The image is pretty symmetrical and the vibrant colors make it nice to look at. The photographer probably took a tripod and set a timer to take the self-portrait of herself.
The woman is jumping away from the shadows and looking up at the sky as she does so, this makes it seem that the story that she wants to tell is that she, herself, went through dark times and had to leap out of them all to see the light of day. Or, because she’s at a train station, she is traveling away from her dark past and moving on from it and jumping into the light. This reminds me of myself because I left a dark place behind me when I transferred schools and now I can look behind me and see the sun rather than darkness. She could have also taken the picture for purely aesthetically pleasing reasons. The color scheme is nice and the natural light is calming to the eye. The image really could have many meanings depending on who you are and what your story is.
The image is successful in the sense that it makes you think long and hard about the meaning. To the photographer, it could be her story about jumping out of the darkness into the light, or it could just be her jumping on an abandoned train station. I think the purpose of this image was for you to reflect back and think to your own experiences to come up with your own meaning of the image. For some, it could be a lady jumping on train tracks but for others, it could bring back memories. It really depends on how deep you’re willing to look.

The image depicts a Japanese woman levitating in what looks to be an alley or some sort of side road. The woman wears fuchsia clothes and in a style that looks sort of childish, but she seems distant like she does not know where she is. The grey wall behind her is littered with all sorts of symbols and images making it more alley like, and behind it seems to be trees almost like it is some sort of park or just outside of a city. There is some sort of poster to the left of the woman in Japanese revealing that obviously she is in japan. The road has a small amount of weeds goring which makes me believe that it is looked at in certain time intervals.

Her fuschia dress draws the attention of the viewer, and is complemented by the grey wall behind which contrasts the two colors making her stand out. The picture is also during the day allowing her colors to be brought out even more, and making the picture more colorful with less darker tones leaving a happy impression. While the levitation effect, by a high shutter speed, allowed her to fully be over and in the middle of the light grey wall. The foreground of the picture shows a small wall which allows more colors to be integrated into the picture making it a little more dark. She also has pale skin and a white shirt which reflect the light from the sun which really makes the viewer focus on her.

The composition of the picture is very pleasing to look at because the lighter colors are pleasing to look at, and all the elements of the picture really draw out the subject. The rule of thirds is not being used because she is being centered in the picture making her the main focus, and the picture makes more sense. The point of view is the photographers. The focal point of the image is the woman in the middle. She is framed by the wall and it’s grids which also are lines that attract the viewers eyes to her.

I feel an idea to this image would be, find yourself. The reason I say this is because I believe the story of the image is a woman having trouble finding who she really. She seems very distant and lost like she does know who she really is. The artist made the image because either she wanted to portray how losing your inner personality looks like, or because at one point this happened to her and she felt this same emotion. To me this image is very beautiful and maybe to other people can portray a different story depending on someone's personality.

I like this photo. The reason i like it ifs because the colors in the photo are very pleasing and it allows me into the photographers head giving off a different perspective. The photograph was very successful. It was successful because I believe it showed what the photographer wanted to show and was able to do it in such a pleasing way that you can’t stop looking.

When looking at Natsumi Hayashi’s image, the red on the girls’ dress instantly draws our eyes into focusing on her. It appears as if the girl is casually levitating off of the ground. The background is made up of a fence and trees behind it. There are also letters on the left side of the image. The photo has good, natural lighting. The girl’s red dress and matching shoes make her stand out against the gray fence.

The girl is framed nicely by the fence behind her. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is in the middle of the photo. Lines that stand out in this photograph are the lines made by the intersections of the wooden planks on the fence, the ground, and the pole with words on the left side. The image is relatively symmetrical because the girl is framed in the middle and the background is similar on each side of her body. The girl does not fill up the entire photograph because there is lots of room around her.

The point of view from which this photo was taken is from the perspective of someone standing away from her. The photographer uses a deep depth of field because the girl and the background behind her are in focus. I think the positive space in the image is the girl and fence behind her and the negative space is the trees at the top because they do not help tell the story. There is a lot of contrast in this photo because the bright highlights along the fence and the girl's red dress stand out among the darker shadows. I like the amount of contrast in this photo because it helps to direct your eye to the focal point.

To make this photograph, the artist had to make sure that he took the image at the perfect moment when the girl was in the air. He also had to adjust his camera settings to get the correct exposure and focus settings while the girl was in the air. I think the image is pleasing to look at because it’s not something that you would see every day. I like the girls’ expression as she levitates in the air because she makes it seem like it’s no big deal. I think the perspective from which the photograph was taken suggests that the artist wants us to feel like we are apart of his artwork because we can see it from his perspective.

I think the photographer is successful because he captured an exciting image. It made me want to see more of his work. I like this photograph because it’s not something you would see everyday. I love the position of the girl in the air and how she makes levitating seem like something reasonable. This image inspired me to think more outside the box and try new things to create exciting images.

This image was taken by, Natsumi Hayashi is taken in the light of day and has a correct exposure. In the image, there are contrasting colors of red and blue that make the subject pop out to the audience. Also the image was taken specifically for the audience to create an interpretation of what the image is depicting. The subject of this picture is a girl, who is also the photographer, who seems to be levitating. The artist leaves us wondering why this was taken the way it was.

The photographer uses the perspective of someone watching her as she levitates in the air. How does the photographer do this exactly? The artist uses unusual occurrences to change the way the audience looks at art. In addition, the author forces us to look at a bigger picture and not just and not only what we see. She draws attention to herself by being the only colorful thing in the image.

What does this image mean? Personally, when I look at this image I get very confused. I do not understand how Natsumi Hayashi was able to create an image like this. I also do not know what the meaning of this image is, however, I can feel that the image has a powerful meaning behind it. It changes the way an average self-portrait looks like. This image, then, forces us to decide for ourselves how it affects us.

Overall, I love this image because it is different. This image can not just be given one meaning. Instead, it can have all sorts of meanings depending on the person. I love this image because the mystery behind it allows us to see the artist as a person rather than someone pointing a camera. With this in mind, the art forces us to see art in a new light.

In order to make this photo happen, I think that the photographer had to use composition and different shots to make her look like she is floating in the air. By doing this, she would have had to take multiple shots and combine them into one. The perspective that the artist used to create this image shows me that she wants her self-portrait to be in the eyes of people that look at her. Based on the image, I can assume that the artist wants me to take away the idea of being unique and different from those around me. This is shown in her difference of imagery.

The photo is a self-portrait created by Japanese photographer Natsumi Hayashi on a sunny day. Natsumi Hayashi is in the middle of the picture, flying in a pink dress, with little white dots on it. She is staring into the sky next to a train or metro station, where the concrete on the pavement is grayish and lifeless. There is a metal barrier behind her drawn with paintings, words, and scratches, it can be suggested that it has been there for a long time. Goes back to the furthest, the background is filled with vigorous, countless stems of the trees. The author uses a warm tone and the picture was shot underneath the sunshine which creates a sense of intimacy. It’s a realistic image but the fact that Natsumi Hayashi is flying in the middle makes the picture more intriguing.

Under the natural light. The image looks The image is fairly asymmetrical, the author as a central point divides it into the half. The metal bars on the barriers perpendicularly intersect each other and parallel horizontally to the ground and vertically to each other, where it allows the composition of the picture seems more organized. These lines also drag audiences' attention to the woman in the middle. The rule of third is being used in the background by the separation between the trees and the station. the camera is set across the railway at eye level. It possibly uses deep depth of field since everything is in focus. The center of the picture is Natsumi Hayashi herself and there is no blank space that is left out in the picture.

Natsumi Hayashi creates a series of self-portraits, and the interesting part is in all the portraits she levitates herself and flies above the ground no matter in what scenario. She gave herself a supernatural ability(flying) in the pictures. I suggest that she wants to portray a surrealistic self in the portraits and contrasts herself from the realm of the world. In this specific image, it's not striking enough to make me think profoundly about it. However, I think that is how Natsumi Hayashi sees herself, she performs this view in a peaceful and calming way.

I like this picture, but if I want to choose my favorite picture of all time this will definitely not be the choice. The color is pleasant but it is too splattered. Even though complementary colors are being used, the picture can hardly strike me. However, as a self-portrait, I do think it is successful. The author shows a consistency in her images, levitating herself above the ground, which makes a stance on her personality and her view of the world. If to look at the whole series, it's fairly interesting self-portraits and I can visualize some parts of her life through these portraits.

The length between the camera and the object suggests that Natsumi Hayashi uses a tripod and supposedly a remote control. The hard part in this photo is to capture the moment when Natsumi jumps right up in the mid-air. In order to do that, a single photo shot will not be enough, she will need to shoot abundant amount of photos during the time she jumps, and in order to get a clear photo without the blur, the shutter speed must be extremely short.

Natsumi Hayashiara seems as if she is floating or levitating in the air. As she is “levitating”, she is wearing a bright plum red dress and sneakers of the same color. Under the dress she is wearing a white long sleeve shirt with defined creases. In the background we can see a long silver panel placed horizontally. The viewer can tell it is old due to dust, erosion, and grafiti. On her very left there are japanese letters that spell something foreign to the American eye. It should be noted that the grafiti is also japanese. At the top of the frame we see lush green trees spreading above. Little pieces of grass and weed are growing through the concrete from where she is levitating. At the bottom of the frame it there is a deep deep that looks like a train track. The metal on the tracks have a rubbed copper look. Natsumi’s face looks like it’s tilted towards the sun as her face is being illuminated.
The photo is not using the rule of thirds because the subject is not centered. Personally the fact that the subject is not centered is what makes it more centered. The focal point is the popping dress and shoes she is wearing. The lines on the panel in the background do direct the attention to the focal point. The image is closer to symmetrical which also contributes to the satisfying aesthetic. The subject does not fill the frame as there is much space around her. The red dress Natsumi is wearing provides an excellent contrast to the white undershirt which overall creates a nice focal point.
Natsumi Hayashiara’s photo is a self portrait making it more interesting to dissect. The photo is taken from the perspective from the other side of the train station. It looks as if someone is looking from across the station station. This can be a metaphor for how people view her. It seems that she believes people view her as elegant and masterful.
The image’s theme doesn't seem very specific or even intentional. I do have to note that the image seems to represent a positive future as she is feeling elevated and free and is moving towards sunlight which represents happiness, success, and joy. The trees growing in the background can represent inner growth and peace. The red color of her dress represents love and passion. The fact that image was shot in Japan changes my viewpoint on train stations in Japan. The image reminds me of the new blade runner film, “Blade Runner 2049”. The postmodern overtones of the station and the combination of trees and nature ultimately remind me of “Blade Runner 2049.”
I like the image a lot because it’s simple and it’s in Japan, my personal dream traveling destination. The photo changes my viewpoint on train stations as I usually associate subways and trains with disgusting New York subways. In contrast, these Japanese stations are beautiful and futuristic. The image is successful as it took my breath away. The image has this quality of comfort and suspense that seems to be slightly shocking.

This image is of a girl on a bridge, who is levitating. The colors that Natsumi Hayashi is using are green, red, white, blue. She used green for the trees, red and white for her dress, and blue for part of her back ground. The lighting is bright sunlight with some dark shadows on the blue backdrop behind her. The objects that are included in the image are a bridge and a street light post, trees and a girl. The girl is levitating over a bridge looking at the sunlight that is shining down on her.
The image is pleasing to look at because its an interesting way for her to be standing or in the air. Also the image is pleasing to look at because it taken in a way that is not natural. The rule of thirds is not being used because the subject is in the center of the frame. The point of view is from someone looking at the girl in the air and it’s from a person looking at the subject as the photo is being taken. The point of view could also be of someone looking up at her when she is levitating.
A deep depth of field is being used. The subject is being framed by the post to her right and the grid behind her to her left. The lines are on the bridge and they direct your eyes to the subject which is the girl. The image is symmetrical, the subject is in the center of the frame. The subject doesn’t fill the entire frame. The frame cuts off the rest of the squares in the background. The positive space is bridge and the ground. The negative space is the wall behind the subject and the post and trees.
I think that the theme in this image is to always look up. If you are in a hard or scarry time you should always look up. Natsumi Hayashi is looking up because she’s scared of falling. She made this image because it teaches us something important. It also teaches to always look up even in the bad situations. The image is interesting because of the way that it’s taken and because of the way the girl is falling forwards in the air.
I like it because of the way Natsumi Hayashi decided to portray herself. She photographed herself in a manner that is interesting. The way that she did it catches your eye so that you will focus on her levitating over a bridge instead of the background behind her. I think that the photo is successful because it lets you know that everyone has hard and stressful times but don’t let those times make you fall. Have those times bring you up and remain looking up.
