This is a very intriguing image. It is both unique and thought provoking. The image is of a woman in a dress that is a nice, checkered lime green. This is paired with a green apple in her belt. The green of the apple matches the green of the dress. The woman seems to be doing a dip to emphasize the fanciness here. This image is very interesting.

The image uses a ver good composition. The whites are correctly balanced. The image is slightly blurry in the back thus keeping the apple in focus. The photo is taken from a very close up point of view in order to maximize the focus that is being placed on the apple. Finally, Harvey uses color very well in order to make the apple pop and draw the viewers eye to it. Finally, she puts it right in the middle of the image to make sure it is the first thing that you see.

The image uses tools of form very well in order to make the image very well. There are leading lines that draw the viewers eye to the apple, which is the main subject of the image. These lines are mostly vertical, and this conveys a sort of sharp, serious mood. The rule of thirds is not used in the image yet it is still successful. Cig Harvey manages to incorporate a complex theme into this image despite its simplicity.

The image signifies the unity of humanity with nature. The apple is one with the dress of the woman. The colors are the same, and it matches perfectly with the woman. Furthermore, the emphasis on the image is placed on the center of the image where the apple meets the woman. In this meeting place, there are in perfect harmony. Thus, Harvey seems to be suggesting that humans are in sync with nature. Harvey is apparently urging and imploring us to see our connection to nature and how important it is in the midst of all that goes on in our world. Harvey does a good job with this image.

The composition by Cig Harvey is thought provoking. The image is rather beautiful, but it is not my favorite image. It lacks a complexity of theme which I enjoy. However, the image is very pleasing to the eye. The matching of the colors is quite stunning and unexpected, and it makes the composition enjoyable to see. Though I do not particularly enjoy the picture, I would say that the composition is successful in achieving its goal.

This image depicts a woman wearing a dress. This photo was taken by Cig Harvey. The dress has details like a green plaid dress and a cut open apple on the belt loop. The dress also has a clear green seam just below the chest. The woman is holding the bottoms of the dress outward to display the plaid pattern on it.

This is an image of a girl wearing a dress. The dress is green, and there is half an apple under her belt. she is doing a crusty do bring attention to her dress. The lighting in this image is bright and cheerful. I feel like it is using bright green colors to portray the feeling of happiness.

This image is not underexposed, since it does not seem dark at all. The image is bright and perfectly exposed. The image is in the perfect resolution since we do not see any stretching taking place. This was also properly focused since the image does not appear to be blurred at all. This image does not have pixelation.

This composition focuses on the dress and the apple under the belt. It its pleasing to look at since there are cheerful colors. The rule of thirds is being used in this image. You can tell since the woman and the apple are centered in the frame. In this exposure there is also not a lot of extra space. The dress mainly fills the space in the image causing the extra space to be minimal .

I feel like the photographer is trying to show a theme that humans are harming the environment because of things such as dresses. The apple represents the natural resources. Rather than being full it us only in half. The dress shows how humans will deplete the resource just so they can make superficial things such as a dress or a computer. I also believe that the dress is the same color as the apple to make the connection more clear.

This image is successful since it shows a theme that is relatable to the world in this age. It also uses a lot of the tools such as rule of thirds and composition, to make it look better. I Like this image since it uses nice colors. The image also has a relatable theme that i could connect to. Lastly for me the green popped out of the image for me and made it a nice color to look at.

This image is of a girl in a green dress with a green apple in the belt. It is using bright colors. It looks like its using bright sunlight. The image has perfect exposure. The image is in focus.
The colors are correct. There is no pixelation. It is in adequate resolution. It is pleasing to look at. The rule of thirds is being used.
The photographer took it at a bugs eye. It is not framed. The lines of the plaid dress direct your eye to the apple in the dress. The image is symmetrical. The subject fills the frame. The image crops off the rest of the dress.
The photographer took this image after a breakup. The apple has significance to her in the relationship. Many of her other pieces are darker and use darker colors. This is a beautiful photo. It is successful.

This image is of a girl wearing a green dress with an apple in it. She is using very bright and really pretty colors. This lighting in this photo looks to me like it is natural lighting so it is very nice. The objects in this image are the apple in her belt and her dress and a very wide close up of the apple.

What is happening in this image is she has a green apple in her dress that is cut off and she is wearing a vintage looking dress that is also green with white and green squares on it. This images lighting is just right. The resolution is very good there is no pixelation in this image. Yes this image is pleasing to look at i really like it.

The angle she took this image from is probably on a tripod and is on a timer. She set the camera facing right at her waist and stopped it a little above her chest. So you could not see her face and I really like how she did a lot of her photography like a very mysterious story. I think her intention was to make these photographs to deal with her boyfriend cheating on her of their 10 year relationship. So I think it is super cool how she used the breakup to make her mysterious and some of her dark photographs, which is more of her work today.

This image reminds me of the 50's. It reminds me of that because the image is so bright and the colors of the green really match. Also the style of the dress is super 50's and 50's is one of my favorite eras. I really like this image it is one of my favorites. The reason why is because, I really like mysteries and I really wanna know what happened in the relationship and why this apple was sentimental in that relationship. I definitely think Cig Harvey was successful. I absolutely love this image.

This is a photo of the body of a girl in a green plad sundress with a half eaten apple under her belt. The background is a blurry, blue-green door on the right and a blurry, brown wall on the left. The color of her apple matches her dress. It looks sun-lit. There isn't any action.

The image isn't overexposed or underexposed. The subject is in focus, but the back isn't. The colors are correct and bright. There is no pixelation. It is a good resolution.

The composition is smooth like the dress, but leaves you thinking about the apple and makes it interesting and pleasing to look at. The rule of thirds is being used in the way of her, the subject, fills the middle third. The point of view is from her belly-button level looking at her belt and apple. The focal point is that belt and apple framed by the dresses fold lines and her arms. The lines are the diagonal lines of her arms, the horizontal belt lines, and the vertical dress fold lines. They direct your eye to the apple core in the middle of these lines. The image is symmetrical enough to where you only notice it is asymmetrical if you look hardly. The subject, the girl, fills most of the frame. The frame crops off the edges of what appears to be a house behind her, her neck and above, and where the dress ends below. The positive space is her dress, apple and arms and the rest is negative.

There is a theme of life and of beginning. The dress reminds me of innocence and the apple, personally, represents a pregnancy. They probably made this image to show the beginning of this new, innocent life. This life happens to be strapped under her belt, literally and figuratively. She is alone in the image and doesn't show her face meaning that this image isn't about anyone she knows or herself but of a child.

This image is beautiful to me. I like this image. I think is clever in the visual play on words of "under her belt", really meaning in her stomach. I think this image is successful in showing this message in a beautiful way.

This image is of a woman in a vintage looking dress. The belt on the dress is holding an apple. The dress and the apple are both green, giving the photo a monochromatic look. The lighting looks like bright natural light probably coming from a window. There is a woman in the photo but it doesn’t show her face which adds to the mysterious effect of the photo.
The image is correctly exposed. The dress and the apple are in focus so that it is the center of attention. The color is correct. There is no pixelation. The resolution is adequate.
The composition is pleasing to look at because the colors in the photo compliment eachother nicely. The photo makes you ask questions. The rule of thirds is not being used because the apple and the woman are in the middle of the photo. The focal point is the apple which is framed by the dress and the belt. The lines on the checkered print of her dress and the angles of the womans elbows lead the viewers eyes towards the apple.
This subject fills most of the space. There is a little extra spaces in the background showing a door. The frame cuts off the womans head and the bottom of her dress. This image was taken shortly after the artists breakup. The breakup was what inspired the photo.
The story behind this photo was of her breakup with her long time husband. These photos, i believe, are emotional memories of their time together. The breakup was because her husband had cheated in her, which is very traumatic, so photography was a way of expressing her feelings. I really like this photo because it is mysterious. It makes me ask questions such as, Was green her husbands favorite color?, Did she wear this dress on their first date?, Does the woman represent the one that her husband cheated on her with?

This image by Cig Harvey is a very compelling shot. This photograph shows a green dress with a green apple tied up to the front. This image uses the color green a lot. This lighting is perfect, its not too dark or too light. The objects in this photograph are a green dress, and an apple.

This image is a bit over exposed, but overall the lighting is perfect. The image is in focus and is perfectly visible. The colors in this photograph are correct. The is absolutely no pixelation in this image. This image cuts off the ends of the dress.

This photograph is pleasing to look at because the color leaves you in a relaxing state inside. The rule of thirds is not being used in this image because the object of this photograph (the apple) is directly in the middle. The focal point of this photograph is directly on the apple. The image is balanced, and the lines direct the audience to the object.

The ideas in this image could be that the man that left her took a part of something inside her(the cut off apple). Leaving her with very little of her left. The artist probably made this image to sho that the man took a very big part of her. This image does not remind me of anything, because I've never experienced a relationship. This image is very interesting, and beautiful because of the color.

I really like this image because of the message and the color use. I find this image very successful because the messages wanted to get out. The message is that once you leave something ruined, no matter what, it will always be broken.

This is a image of a green dress. There is a green apple tied up by the belt. Half of the apple is cut off. There are lots of green color in the picture. This is a image of only the dress so the face is not included.

The image has a good exposure. The image is in focus. The apple is the main object in the picture. The color look correct. There is a little pixelation in the background since the apple and the front of the dress is focused.

This image is pleased to look at. The image has lots of green in it. This color creates a sense of coordinate. The rule of third is not being used. The belt forms a line to lead our eyes to the apple.

The image is in balance. It is symmetrical. It add more to the coordinated picture. There is still lots of space left in the frame. However, I think it does not need to be filled out. I think the artist is try to tell us something but I do not quite get it.

I like the image. The color using is really beautiful. The image gives my the sense of peace and coordination. But the meaning is confusing. Overall, the image is successful.

The image is of a woman in a dress with an apple. The colors being used is mostly green and white. There is even only green in the background. The color of the apple matches the dress. It seems to be using bright studio light.

The image is perfectly exposed. The image is in focus on the apple. The whites are yellow. there is no pixelation. as expected this image is perfect.

It is pleasing because the colors are soft and just nice to look at. The rule of thirds doesn't appear to be used in this image. The point of view could be from a very short persons perspective. the lines are a mix of all the types of lines dragging your eyes everywhere. The image is very well balanced down the middle perfectly. There is a bit of negative space in the background with a doorframe.

I think the photo is about how women are forced to fit into a standard. She is wearing a tight belt to show she is trying to look skinnier. The apple could be only what she eats to represent her having to change.

This image makes you ask questions. Why is there an apple is the obvious first one. The second being why is the apple in her dress. This seams to have some deeper meaning to the author. he thing is we can't really see what it is because we are not the author. The one thing we can do is guess though.
The colors mach well. The green on green is very complementary. The back ground has a lighter which also compliments the green of the dress and apple. The white checkered pattern compliment s the white of the open part of the apple as well.
The feel of this image seems light hearted at first. Upon further inspection though it's a tad gloomy. The way the background is tinted gives that feel. The vibrant green is the initial lighter feeling. Eventually the gloominess takes over.
You can not see the face in this image. This adds another layer to the mystery of this image. The entire idea of this image seems to be mystery and questioning. The lack of a face makes you think. why did she not show her face. is she ashamed of something?
The background of this story may answer some of these questions. These questions are the backbones of this image and they describe your train of though in the moment.

This image is of a dress with part of an apple tucked into the belt. It is using green as the color of the apple and the dress. The lighting is natural light from outside. The only things included are the dress and the apple. In the image nothing is happening.

The image is correctly exposed. It is in focus on the dress. The colors look like they should look. There is no apparent pixelation except with a little bit on the apple. The picture has an adequate resolution.

The rule of thirds is being used in the picture as the apple is centered and the arms are on either side. The picture is symmetrical for the same reasons. The point of view is from directly in front of the apple. The focal point is the apple. The lines on the dress point up and down towards the apple.

The theme of this image is to be yourself. The girl in this dress is being herself by wearing a green colored dress and a half eaten apple. She is using this to express herself and show who she is. The uniqueness of the apple shows how the girl is going against the social norm. The social norm would not be to wear something as strange as this.

Society often restrains people from being different. It restricts individualism and forces people to be "normal". I think the photo is challenging people to retreat into nature where there is no norm and people can be themselves. It makes me want to take a break from the pressures of society. I want to retreat into nature and truly express myself freely without the pressures of society to fit in with the norm.

In this image you see the apple being held by the girls belt. A lot of green is using, the image is intending to cause a certain feeling towards the person viewing the image. This image is using bright sunlight, you can tell because she appears to be outside and the back part also seems to be well lit. In the image the dress is being opened by the girl, the dress appears to be held that way so that when the photo is taken so the abstractions of the lines in the dress will take place in the photograph.
This image is primarily focused on the apple in the center of the belt, Yes this image is color corrected in the case for which the skin looks much more vibrant and so does the dress.
There seems to be adequate resolution, the rest of the image is out of focus so your eyes aren't directed onto that part of the photograph. I find this image pleasing because i like how the colors stand out and the way in which the lines and the focus can instantly direct your eyes onto the center/ where the apple is located. The photographer too the image directly in front of her, he is not using the rule of thirds for this picture. The lines are on the dress and the as the dress seems out of focus on the outside but the little by little begins to direct your eyes onto the center, the photographer is clever for pulling that off.
Although this image seems pretty complete, it is actually cropping off the rest of the lines of the dress which would continue to direct you eyes towards the center (where the apple is). A theme or idea of this image which could be being proposed would be that the apple represents here emotions or her heart, this image was taken while she was depressed due to a previous relationship so that could be the significance of the apple in half. I honestly don't have any connections with this image other than green used to be my favorite color when I was a little kid, also that I would always prefer green apples rather than red apples. I think the image is pretty beautiful, i don’t see to much story in the image but I think the artist is clever for how they edited the photo and the dress and all that.
I like the image, it's not my favorite but it's cool and I guess if I was more in the same mindset as the photographer, then I would find more story being told. I believe that the photograph is successful to some extent, I don't understand the image too much, but I see some motivation towards why it was created. And if I was a photographer going through a depression of some sort, then I would find it much more interesting and fascinating.

This image by the notable photographer ,Cig Harvey, is of a women in a green dress with a green belt strapping in an also green apple. The image is shot where you don’t see the woman’s face and it is just her figure. The artist clearly implemented the element of design: color to create an eye catching picture. It looks like natural, soft lighting is used and maybe even taken outside. Besides color, the element of design:lines is also used. The pleats of the dress draws your eyes to the apple, the center of the image.

The picture is minimalistic in a way that their is not much action happening. The woman is only standing with the a simple subject:an apple being the main focus. The image is correctly exposed, in focus, and with a shallow depth of field to emphasize this. Also, it is evident that the whites are correctly balanced by the cool tone. The crisp and clear brightness of the whites in the image contrasts nicely with the theme of green which makes this composition pleasing to look at. I applaud the artist for pulling this off because green can be a tricky color to work with.

It is interesting how the rule of thirds is not being used in this image. The artist is using this technique to her advantage by creating a sense of mystery. It intrigues the viewer and makes us ask questions. Who’s is the girl? Why is their an apple? The subject, the girl, fills the entire frame of the image and forces you to just focus on her. The positive space in this picture is almost overwhelming unlike the negative space.

The angle the photographer used was just a straight shot. This simplicity can be confusing at first but compelling at the same. The frame of the image cuts off the rest of girl’s body which adds the mystery. This mystery that the artist is implying is also shown through the balance of the image. The symmetry is satisfying to look at and it can be frustrating because we cannot see the rest of the subject. Harvey seems to do this playfulness with the camera in her mysterious images.

Even though the theme of this photo is mystery, it is not necessarily dark. The vibrant green color gives some positive and playful vibes. For some reason this image reminds me of Alice and Wonderland (of course with a green twist). This young innocence of the girl with the pleaded dress accompanied with a simplistic object such as an apple (rather than a “Eat Me” cupcake) brings back childhood memories. However in Alice and Wonderland, mystery in the unique world is similar to the one implied in this image. I do like this image for that reason and would say that this photograph is successful.

Observing this photo for the first time I saw all the vegetation that surrounds the screen of the photo. I love how the picture depicts the elephant. At first glance the observer would probably not notice the action going on in the image, but at a closer look we can see how the elephant is surrounded by nature and humans. The vibrant color of the trees disguises the elephant and the white marble color of the car contrasts the scene of the photo. We can see how their are people who got out of their cars to help the elephant.

The image is mostly aesthetically pleasing and is symmetrically balanced but the road on the left hand side corner is rugged and looks pretty ordinary. The photographer captured the image in a 3rd person point of view. He looked into the scene but was not involved in the action. The lines of the image are the oad which direct the observer to the focal point of the image. The focal point of the image is the elephant surrounded by nature. The subject of the image is just a small part of the bigger picture with a lot of extra space surrounding the elephant.

The ideas shown in the image explicitly show the good of humans and the humble aspect of the human personality. People spent time out of their day to go and help the helpless elephant in a time in need. The story is told in the image because you can clearly see how people left their car doors open to run and help. Another theme of the photo is how now a days society is constantly filming everything instead of helping. We can see people taking pictures and filming the elephant as bystanders instead of helping on the scene.

I actually really enjoyed analyzing this image because I love the environment and animals. Anything that has to do with animal cruelty or animal awareness is sorta my thing. This photograph is successful because the message gets across to the observers and is easy to understand.
