This is an image of a stage. On the lower half of the stage there are words that say Surf Ballroom. This helps us imply that this stage could be in a hotel. Usually nice hotels have ballrooms with names and each one is set up differently.

This image is in focus since everything is crips and clear in the photo. The image is also in good resolution since it does not appear to be stretched in anyway. All of the colors in the image are crisp and correct. In some areas the image appears to be underexposed but in the main area it is exposed nicely.

The main Colors in this image are the red curtains and the brown of the stage. The red is a very vibrant color. It pops out and grabs the viewers attention. The brown is more subtle and helps clearly identify where the stage is. You can tell that nothing is moving here since all of the flash and curtains are perfectly still and do not appear to be in motion.

I personally like this image due to the fact that the red is very nice to look at. It was the very first thing i saw when viewing the image. I believe this image has a theme that all the worlds a stage. It is open to how you want to act in it you can be whatever you want, you just have to play your part .

The image "Surf Ballroom" by Alec sloth is a thought provoking composition. The image is of a ballroom stage that just so happens to have palm trees surrounding it and a picture of the beach behind it. This creates an interesting juxtaposition between the formalities that occur in a ballroom and the informality of the beach and the surfer lifestyle. The curtains are red while the top curtains are green, two colors on the opposite side of the color wheel. This makes the colors pop. The artist uses space in the photo as well by placing a photograph of the beach behind his "Surf Ballroom" in order to transport the viewer to another area. The photographer also uses lines very effectively. The horizontal and vertical lines in the photo make the image striking and defined. The image is exposed correctly and the colors are gorgeous.

The image has a very exquisite composition. The rule of thirds is not used as the action occurs in the center of the photograph. As discussed in the previous paragraph, line is used to a great effect. The image is not in black and white, and it is the colors in the image which make the image so very successful. It is taken from a bugs eye view, which in this case is the view of someone who would be in the ballroom. The image not only uses a very unique and interesting composition but also conveys complex themes and motifs.

The juxtaposition created between formalities and informalities evokes many themes within the image. One of the most prevalent themes is the theme of idealism vs realism. The image pits the notion of relaxing at the beach all day and doing whatever you want (idealism) vs what must be done in the real world such as attending formal balls that are not always enjoyable (realism). This theme and struggle has been popular since ancient times, and is a key idea in Antigone, by Sophocles, and many other classic movies, plays, and books. This a a struggle that we all endure every day. We must face our responsibilities whether we want to or not.

This is a striking image. It strikes a chord with me personally due to my love of the beach. I most definitely relate to the notion of the struggle of idealism vs realism, and would say that we all have days where we want to shirk our responsibilities and just have fun but we know we can't. This image is beautiful and uses a contrast of colors to great effect. All in all, this image is very successful as it conveys complex themes and is a great composition.

This image is of a stage in a theater. It is using the colors of red, green, and black. The red stands out the most because it is brighter than the other colors and it is lighter. The main things included in the image are the curtains, the stage, and the background. There are no people in the picture.

The image is correctly exposed. It is focused on the curtains of the stage rather than the background. The colors seem to be correct. There are shadows from the curtains and it is darker because there are no lights other than on the stage. The picture has no pixelation and has adequate resolution.

The rule of thirds is being used as the sides of the curtains are on either side of the picture and the stage itself is in the center. The point of view is from directly in front of the stage. This portrays how an audience member sees the stage. The image is fairly symmetrical with the curtains on both sides and the outsides of the stage being fairly similar. The lines are vertical from the curtains and horizontal from the top curtains and the stage.

The obvious theme of the image is that there is beauty without human interference. The stage itself looks very majestic and grand. When actors come onto the stage however, it will lose its grandness and become simply a performance and will detract from the theater itself. I like this picture because I think that it speaks to nature and society on a bigger scale. It shows how life can be more beautiful before people mess with it, and it makes me want to retreat into nature where I can enjoy the simplistic beauty of untouched nature.

The photo is of a stage with a red curtain and a sign that says Surf Ballroom. The colors are bright and cheery using bright red and a blue green as the highlight on the stage. The stage is bright while the space above it is dark and not as well lit. There are tropical trees all over the image representing the surf part of the ballroom.

The image is perfectly exposed because nothing is too dark or over exposed. The entire stage is in focus leaving nothing in the image blurry. The color is correct because the text saying Surf Ballroom is perfectly white. There is no pixelation. This image is perfectly composed and has no errors.

The composition is pleasing to look at because no colors are too harsh, they are all soft. The red goes well with the blue, and the beach in the background is nice and relaxing also. The rule of thirds can be used for where the surf ballroom text is located. It is in the bottom third. The point of view is from a regular persons point of view. The entire stage is the focal point. The vertical lines in the stage give it a sense of height. The subject almost entirely fills the frame leaving just a tiny amount around the border.

I like this image because it is relaxing. There are nice soft colors throughout the image and the beach and trees look nice and ties in with the surf ballroom text. I think it is successful in capturing the feeling of a tropical beach because of the colors and tying objects around the stage. The image is also good at making you notice all the small details such as the trees with attention catching colors and lines,

This image is of a ballroom with a stage in the middle. The stage has a photo of the beach and the stage says “surf ballroom”. The photo uses dull colors to contradict the idea of a beach which would be thought of as bright. The lighting uses dark shadows and it is a studio setup. The photo uses buildings and has a lot of texture.
The image is exposed correctly. Everything is in focus. There is no pixelation in the photo, but it is a bit grainy. This photo is not pleasing to look at because there are too many things going on in one image. The texture of the curtains takes away from the focus of the image which would be the beach.
The rule of thirds is not being used, the image of the beach is directly in the middle. The artist took this photo at eye level with the stage. The focal point is the image of the beach. The image is framed by the curtains and the stage which lead your eye to it. The subject doesn’t fill the frame and there is a lot of extra space.
I believe that the idea and theme of this image is about being fake. The ballroom does not look like it would be part of a beach at all because the colors are so dull. This image reminds me of when I used to do school plays when I was younger. I really do not like this photo because it doesn’t interest me. The colors and textures don’t mix well and it isn’t pleasing to the eye.

This photograph depicts a stage in a ballroom. This stage appears to have been used to perform a play or a choir. This ballroom also has a tropical theme judging by the label and the palm trees. The image uses a slightly darkened tone. The colors present in the image are predominantly cyan, red, and wood brown.

This photograph is being illuminated by artificial light created by stage lights. The center focal point appears to be the beach background behind the stage. The image uses the curtains as the line which direct your eye towards the center focal point. The point of view for this image is from someone presumably sitting down in the audience. The lighting also acts as the lines, directing your eye toward the background.

This picture is pleasing to look at mainly because of how it fills the frame so neatly. The image is framed by the stage. The edges of the stage front act as the point where the image cuts off. Most of this image is in the positive space, as the stage and the floor in front of it takes up the positive space. The only negative spaces are the edges off to the sides of the curtains.

The general vibe that I receive from this image is a sense of anxious waiting for something. The person we are looking through is waiting for this play to start in an excited manner. I believe this due to the way that the lighting and the colors appear and how they present themselves. This image reminds me of anxiously waiting for my favorite tv shows and cartoons to start playing when I was a kid. This, along with the details listed above, is why I believe that this image is beautiful.

This picture kind of looks like it has a frame inside the frame. The way everything is squared makes it look sectioned. This causes extra focus on the picture in the background. Both because it is centered and has a frame of its own. This is the first thing that captures your focus.
The colors of this image are well placed. The blue and red compliment each other nicely. The even spacing of these color is also appealing. The brown on the lower portion of the image highlights the other colors well. All and all the colors are well balanced and well placed.
The lighting in this image is different. The lights seem to be in portions. Like three dollars of light and thats it. One of the light beams highlights the center well. This keeps the picture in the background in your focus.
The shapes of this picture are the thing i like the most. The entire image is almost pieced in because of this. What I mean by this is the squaring of the stage, picture, and bricks makes it blend together very well. The rectangular shape of the stage is just another example of this. Over all this image was very proficient at using shapes.

This is a picture of a stage. On the bottom of the stage it says surf ballroom. There are many different colors int he picture, such as green, red, brown and blue. Because nothing is going on in the ballroom, the light is dark. Only the middle part of the images bright, and the other parts are dark.

Because of the light, the picture is underexposed. The focus is the middle of the stage, where is brighter than other parts in the picture. The colors are looking right. There are many contract of colors in the image. There is no pixelation in the image.

The composition looks really nice. It is really pleasing to look at because of the use of different colors. Also, the image has a different depth at different point. It create space. The texture of the curtains are smooth and it let me feel very comfortable. Also, the curtains create frames and it narrows down to the tree image at the middle of the stage.

I think the the image is successful. I really like it because of its use of the colors looks really weird but cool. It also has a sense of space. The frames narrows down the image as the depth gets deeper. The image is beautiful.

This is an image of a stage with no chairs in the audience and it says "Surf Ballroom" on the front. It is using green and red colors on the curtains for the complementing that they do for each other. It is studio lit but there are still lots of shadows in the space. Besides the stage, the only other thing in the photo is a flag on the left side of the stage. There isn't any motion in the photo.

The photo in general is the correct exposure. Except for the back wall, which is too underexposed to see. The whole image is in focus. The whites look like a very bright and clean white. It has a good resolution too.

It is pleasing to look at because of the form on the stage. You can easily see the depth of the photo and it is pleasing to look at. It is using the rule of thirds because the stage is in the middle third. The photographer took the photo from the angle of the audience, probably to give a role to the viewer. The focal point of the photo is the name of the stage in the center that is framed by the stage's trim. The horizontal lines of the top and bottom of the stage direct your eyes to the center of the stage. Except for the flag and the name, the picture is almost perfectly symmetrical. There is lots of extra space around the top of the stage that is not visible because of the lighting/exposure. The frame crops off the entrance to the stage and the point where the wall meets the roof and the rest of the audience area. The positive space is everywhere there is lighting, and the negative is everywhere you can't see.

There is the theme of looking at the spotlight and view from the audience. I think an idea that is being put out there it that it is easy too look at whatever is center stage in life, but looking at life's stage is different, maybe better, perspective. I like this photo because of the philosophy that comes with it. I think it was successful is displaying that philosophy.

This image has a lot of value in the colors. This photograph is about a stage that has red curtains. The curtains have a lot of color in them. The image is completely in focus. This image has studio light on the stage. The image has dark shadows in the top.

The image is a bit under exposed at the top. The image is in focus. The color in this image are correct. Theres is no pixelation, this image is in focus. I like this image because it is very cautious in the focus of the image.

In my opinion, this image is very pleasing to look at. The rule of thirds isn't being used, because the stage is in the middle. The angle being used is directly in middle. This image is kind of symmetrical, because one side shows more than the other.

It seems to me that this image doesn't have a true meaning. Or it could mean some thing that is empty has paradise inside of itself. This image reminds me of my first play i acted in. I find this image noteworthy, and special. I really like this image, and i think it is successful. because of the color use.

This image is of a stage, called Surf Ballroom. It is using reds and greens. There are dark shadows around the stage. There are bright lights at the stage. The stage has a tropical background. It also has a bunch of curtains that add texture.
The image has good exposure. The image is in focus. All the colors are correct. There is no pixelation. There is adequate resolution. It is pleasing to look at.
The rule of thirds is being used. It is in bugs eye point of view. It is framed by the outer part of the stage. My eyes direct to the horizontal lines of the stage and the steps on the stage. The image is symmetrical and balanced.
The subject does fill the frame. The image crops off the ends of the stage. The positive space is the middle part of the stage. The negative space is what surrounds it. I do like the image. It is a successful photograph.

This image is of a stage decorated with drapes is by the artist Alec Sloth. A picture of a beach background is placed on the brick wall on the stage. An American flag is on the left of the stage. Red drapes cover the majority of the stage with magenta and free drapes arranged on the top. On the brown drapes at the bottom contain a the words “Surf Ballroom”

Multiple elements of design are prominent in this image. Texture is shown through the folds of the texture. it is also seen in the way the flag is hanging and the prickly branches of the palm trees on the corners of the image. The usage of color is also present. Green and red are opposite hues on the color wheel. These two colors blended in the drapes compliment each other and makes it appealing to the eye.

This image is correctly exposed and in focus. It doesn’t appear to have any color correction applied because the picture has a warm tone shown by the yellowish wooden floors. The image has adequate resolution and the rule of thirds is applied. The surrounding areas and environment are shown around the stage, our subject. The positive space of the stage takes up the majority of the picture.

I neither love or hate this image. However, I do think it is successful because of the interesting usage of technique and elements of design. It is appealing but I just don’t think it implies anything or has a deeper meaning. It doesn’t have many dimensions to it. However I do appreciate this artist’s work.

This photograph is very nice. This photograph is a picture of a theater stage. It is using very nice colors and soft colors. I would say the lighting is studio set up. If it was outside and had natural lighting it would look a lot better.

The objects included are the stage, an american flag and some palm trees. What is going on in this image is it looks like they are going to have a surf themed dance. Because there is a sign that says surf ballroom. I think this image is a little underexposed. I think the lighting needs to be better but, it could be what they are going for.

Yes the image is in focus and is focusing on the stage. No, there is no pixelation in this image it is very good quality. I like this image because of the colors they are using they are very soft. The subject does not fill the frame there is a little bit of extra space on the side of the theater. Yes, there is negative and positive spaces which are the stage is positive and the flag and the negative is the palm trees and the floor.

Yes, there is a story being told. The story is that they are having a dance I believe and they took a photograph of the stage. Yes this image reminds me of a movie I once saw and I love that movie. Yes I like this image. Yes, there is not much going on but I still like it.

Yes, I really do like this image. It is very nice to look at. It is nice to look at because, of the colors that they chose with the curtain colors. The colors are green and red and I think they go really well together. Yes, I think this image is successful and I like it a lot.
