© Gregory Crewdson
Today you will be writing about this photograph made by artist Gregory Crewdson.

Read this short biography for Crewdson before you write:

Gregory Crewdson is an American photographer best known for staging cinematic scenes of suburbia to dramatic effect. His surreal images are often melancholic or disturbing, offering ambiguous narrative suggestions and blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality, thanks to the artist’s painstaking preparation of elaborate sets, lighting, and cast. “My pictures are about a search for a moment—a perfect moment,” Crewdson has explained. Born on September 26, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY, the artist works with large production teams to scout and shoot his images. His work has been exhibited widely, notably including solo exhibitions at Gagosian Gallery in New York, the San Diego Museum of Art, and White Cube in London, among many others. A 1988 graduate of the Yale School of Art, he has served on its faculty since 1993 and is currently the director of its graduate studies in photography. The artist lives and works in New York, NY.

This is an image of a lot of different things. In the image there are a couple of houses in the background. There also is a tree in the middle of the yard. In the foreground of the image there is a fire truck and it looks like it’s putting out a small fire. The colors that are being used in this image by Gregory Crewdson are white for the houses in the background, and white for the water that is coming out of the fire hose. Red for the fire truck nad green for the trees. The lighting is natural light and darker light. The objects that are in the image are a person putting out a fire, a house, trees and a swing-set playground. What is happening in the image is that a man is putting out a fire and there are alot of different things that could’ve caught on fire.

This image is pleasing to look at because of all the activity that is going on. You can focus your attention on the man putting the fire out, you can focus your attention on the cars in the parking lot. The rule of thirds is not being used in this image. The point of view is from a birds-eye-view, looking at the area from the sky but not too high in the air. There is a deep depth of field because the whole image is in focus. The focal point is the tree and the tree is framed by the street and the playground.

The lines are in the pile of sand or dirt and they direct your eyes to the tree. This image is asymmetrical because not every piece of this image has the same things. There really is no one particular subject in this image. The subject could be the person, or the tree. The edge of the image is the fire truck and the forest on the side of the house. The edge of the image crops off the rest of the truck and the rest of the forest.

The themes and ideas are to always help your neighbor out when they are in need. I don’t think there really is a story that is being told in this image. The artist made this image because he wanted to photograph people helping others. This image reminds me of a trip to my ranch. One time when my family went to our ranch i saw a house and the house had a swing set and a fire truck. I don’t think that this image by Gregory Crewdson challenge any assumptions or beliefs. I think that this image is interesting because of the ideas that Gregory Crewdson had and the way that he put all of those ideas into one image.

I like this image because it is a very interesting way to combine different aspects of different things into one simple image. I also like this image because of the colors that are being used. There is an assortment of colors that are in this image. From firetruck red to dark green, to dirty white. I think that this photograph is successful because of the different aspects of living in the country are all in one image. I also think that this image is successful because it’s very simple and not extravagant looking.

In this image, created by Gregory Crewdson, contains a lot of difference what you could look as scenes. There are multiple different things happening all at once, which makes the image very intricate and complex for viewers to find a meaning behind. To start, in the foreground of the image, there is a pile of mud and or dirt that seems moist and it looks like it probably just rained. There is a large truck with a hose attached to it that is being led by a man to a tank that has some sort of steam of smoke coming off of it.

In addition, behind that, there is a pine tree that almost looks like it could be a Christmas tree. It is surrounded by junk and toys in what looks like a backyard. This could possibly be a house full of children. Then there is a large white house that resembles the image of a farmhouse. There is then a road separating the house and play yard from the area where it seems that all of the cars are parked, however, based on the number of cars in the lot it looks like something has happened that has caused people to rush to the house.

This image was taken on a cloudy day and seems to be overexposed. Gregory Crewdson took this image in a bird’s eye view perspective in order for his audience to be able to see the entirety of what’s happening in the image. If the image was taken from a different perspective, the audience would have a different way of looking at it that could change the image’s meaning. The image looks like it could have been taken in a remote area because the road that leads up to the house looks like an access road. This can make the image more appealing to the first glance because it is more scenic and the colors flow well together.

After looking at this image, I can not seem to come to a conclusion about what the artist is trying to get across to the audience. Every aspect of the image is very different and none of it seems like it could add up to one meaning. Therefore, the way that I look at it, I consider it to have multiple meanings depending on the way that any individual person interprets the image. For me, I see a country family home struck by tragedy.

Personally, I really like this image because I think that it looks different than most images. It doesn’t just focus on one thing, rather multiple things. It makes it more interesting and it also allows each viewer to look at it in their own way. Moreover, the image doesn’t have one clear subject and it is more open and we are able to decide our own main point. I, personally, think that the tree in the center of the yard is the subject of the image. It drew my attention from the moment I looked at the image because it seems out of the ordinary.

The image is of a house near a forest and the other half is of what looks like a construction zone. The colors in the image are relatively bright and pronounced, the colors that are being used are mainly reds and greens. The lighting is very outdoorsy and somewhat sunny but not overly so. It might have been a bit of an overcast that day to give the image a bit of a darker vibe than what it would have had if the sun was fully out. There are people walking around in all parts of the image and it looks like they are in the act of setting up a scene for a movie or TV show. The house in the back looks very old and rustic, almost in an ominous way. There is also an abundance of the same type of car, in the same color, in the background of the image that adds to the movie like feel of the image.
The image has a weird black outlining on the right and left sides of the frame that fades the further that you get into the image. It eventually disappears in the middle of the image, so that area is the brightest. The image uses a deep depth of field that makes you take in the whole image rather than just what is in focus. The lines that draw your eyes are the road next to the house, the way that the trees converge at the same spot as the road, and the black fading lines on the sides of the image. All of those lines draw your eyes to the very middle of the image, but to get there you have to see everything else first.
The theme of the image is that movie sets can oftentimes be chaotic and full of people who are in a hurry to get their work done. The story being told is the story of the workers putting together the scene for a movie or a TV show so that it looks perfect on camera. This image reminds me of The French Mistake episode of Supernatural when they show you behind the scenes of how they make the show and separate scenes in the shows. The workers were always doing something in that episode and always moving around, a lot like in this image when all the workers appear to be doing something. This really sheds a light on the assumption that when people are making movies or shows that they don’t need large spaces, large amounts of money or a lot of people working. This lot would have cost a lot of movie to do and actual shows and movies use things like this for months and even years.
I really like this image just because of the meta-ness of it all. The image was made by a photographer, who wanted his photograph to look like people were making a scene set up for a director of a movie or show. I think that the image is very successful in almost every aspect. I also really like it because of the reminder of the Supernatural episode that always makes me laugh. It was very successful in making the scene look crazy and over the top, but also organized and situated in a weird way. I can’t help but feel ominous looking at this image and I really enjoy that feeling. The way that the black edges frame the image is a really nice effect that helps with not only the success of the image but also, probably, my liking of it.
The amount of money that making this image would have a cost, however, would have been absolutely crazy. No matter how much money you can sell this image for you have to account for the 21 cars, crane, house, port-a-potties, and workers that you have to pay for. I feel like this really sheds a light on how expensive the movie industry is. Companies have gone bankrupt over sets similar to this. It just really shows how crazy some of the people in the business of making things like this are.

In the photo there is a construction site next to a house and many old parked cars. There is a giant tree sitting in the yard of the house next to a swingset while a man with a hose seems to be going to empty a septic system. The photographer seems to use mostly greens, browns, reds, and blues. This makes the photo much more vibrant and draws the attention of the viewer, and where the dirt and the grass connects creates a really cool effect making it look like two seperate places.the lighting is either early in the morning or close to night because everything seems to be a lot darker then when the sun is fully out.

The photographer made this image by making a very expensive set, and then going up onto a crane in order to take the photo in a bird’s eye view. It seems he used a higher shutter speed because of the lighting. There is no grain at all, so a low ISO. The photographer also used a higher aperture because in order to take this photo he wanted to catch every little detail. Finally he probably even positioned people to show what it looks like when everyone is minding their own business, and doing their jobs.

The composition is very pleasing to look at because the photographer chose to take the picture where everything is darker, but the colors are still so vibrant. This photo was taken from a bird’s eye view to make sure the whole set was captured and the details are cleanly seen. Next the photographer uses a deep depth of field, again, to capture everything in the scene and even the beutiful trees in the background that follow the shape of the road. The rule of thirds is not being used because there are multiple subjects. For me the focal point is the pine tree in the middle because it is the first thing that caught my attention and it is almost Christmas, so I saw it as a Christmas tree.

An idea of this image could be, the work of a human is beutiful in it’s own way. The story in this image could be about how a place it changing, or an ecveryday life of this place. I believe the artist made this image to portray how beautiful work and construction may be eventhough prople sees it as ugly. The image reminds me of whenever a movie panned over the main character’s neighborhood and showed the details of where they live. The image is very beutiful because all of the colors go perfectly and you can see everything.

The way this photographer made this image is amazing and really shows the devotion he has for photography which makes the image even better. The scene was soo perftect and let the viewer make their own assumptions on what they believe it is. From that I really liked this image. I liked because of the soo many different aspects the photographer put into it and how hard he worked. I believe the photo is successful because he found out what he wanted to do, preformed it perfectly, and makes lots of money off of these images.

In this image, there is an area filled with the dirt next to a grassy area in front of many trees. The area filled with dirt is in the foreground of the image. This area is a reddish color. There are large mounds of dirt in this area. Also, in the foreground, there is a water truck that says Yankee Septic on it. The truck is a dark red color. There is a hose coming out from the truck. A man is holding the hose. He is wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots. There are several green and red metal structures. One of these structures is steaming or smoking. It appeared that the man was about to spray water on the structure or he had just finished spraying the structure with water. There is debris on the ground next to the smoking structure.

In the grassy area in the background, there is a fence next to a pine tree. There is also a playground set next to the pine tree. The tree and the playground set are next to the area filled with dirt. There is a bicycle and other transportation devices on the open grassy area. The grass is green. There are people playing games and eating near a table and a tan colored patch of sand in the grassy area. There is a small red and navy building behind the people. There are more chairs and a white house at the back of the grassy area. There are cars outside the house. There are also cars parked across from the house on the other side of the road. Behind the cars are many very green trees. There are also trees behind the house and along the road. The road is a whitish-tan color. Telephone poles line up on the side of the road. The sky is a whitish-orangish color with only clouds.

The image is using a lot of greens, reds, and whites. The lighting is sunlight coming through the clouds in the sky. The image is pleasing to look at. The rule of thirds is not being used. The point of view is from the photographer. The image is using a deep depth of field. The focal point is the pine tree. There is a line that is the road. There are also lines of trees. Another line is the line of telephone poles. These lines direct your eye to the focal point, the pine tree. The image is asymmetrical. The subject does not fill the frame.

There seems to be an interesting but kind of complex story going on in this image. In this story, it appears that there is an outdoor party going on at the white house. At the party, people are eating and having fun by playing outdoor games that look like bean bag toss. At the same time, it looks like an electrical metal structure caught on fire in an area near the house. An untraditional firefighter was called in and put out the small fire. All the cars parked on the opposite side of the road appear to be guests at the party.

I partially like and dislike the image. I like it because it looks good and the colors are pretty good. Also, there is a lot to look at, which makes it interesting but complex. However, I dislike the image because with all of the stuff to look at, it is harder to see due to the smaller size. This means that at some points in the image, it’s hard to tell what is happening.

The photograph by Gregory Crewdson of a small street with a water truck, a very big pine tree or christmas tree even though the weather in the image is summerlike; green grass and green trees, There is also a very big house behind the big christmas tree and there are a lot of cars parked outside there is 5 red cars, 3 white cars, 2 black cars and a dark green car, There is also a small playground at the right side of the big christmas tree. There is a small shed besides the big house. The rest of the image is used for green green forests and a white sky.

The image is composed of a big white house, a big christmas tree and, a red water truck. The image would be using the rule of thirds depending on what the viewer perceives as the subject in the image which would be that if the viewer believes the big christmas tree as the subject it will not be using the rule of thirds but any other thing else being the subject the image would be using the rule of thirds. Gregory Crewdson used a deep depth of field on this image with the image being asymmetrical.

The idea of this image is that bad things can happen even in the nicest of places. The story of the image would be a man from a water truck shooting some perfectly good water into a portable toilet with his red water truck. The artist made this image for money and the image does not remind me of any thing.

I liked the image because of how red the water truck was and the green of the trees and how there were a lot of cars outside of the big white house. The photograph is successful because of how it uses bright colors that are also dark and how it is very detailed.

The rule of thirds is being used in this image because the man and Yankee Septic tank are more towards the left third on the image. The point of view from which this photograph was taken is from above the man. Gregory Crewdson used a crane to get high enough to take this picture. I like how the artist photographed this image from the sky because it makes the image more interesting. It changes up standard photographs that are taken from eye level.

There is a deep depth of field being used in this image because of the details in the background are in focus. Some line that stands out in this photograph are the lines made by the hose, street, house and power lines. The image is not symmetrical, but it is balanced because there is action taking place in every part of this image. The man does not take up that much room in this photograph, but the space around him is filled with other objects. I think the whole image is positive because you can’t look that many places and not see something happening.

I think the artist was trying to create an interesting photograph from a different perspective. I think the theme of this image is to look around you. While the man with the hose in the picture is doing his work, little does he know that the next house over has lots of people over. It gives us a look outside of our own bubbles and makes us realize that other people have busy lives too. Everyone faces their own challenges, but sometimes you just need to open your eyes to understand what they are going through.

I really like Gregory Crewdson image. I love how busy the photograph is, which shows how much time and work he put into the making of this photograph. There are so many details that make this picture interesting to look at. I think the artist was successful in creating this image. He made a unique image that gives people a new perspective.

The image was shot in a cloudy day. It includes a broad landscape with multiple actions simultaneously going on in this image. In the space closer to the camera there is brown soil, and in the left hand corner it is piled up as a small hill. A dark red fire engine is locating on the left and a person was putting out the fire in a small public restroom. If to go further, the image becomes extremely green. People are partying in the yard of the houses and various cars and trucks are parked across the road.

The image does use the rule of third. Crewdson uses the colors to create lines and separates the images. I am confused by what is the main subject of this picture because the lines of the road lead my eyes to the house but the firefighter and the scene below also catch my attention. Everything in the frame was in focus. The complementary colors create contrast and appeal to me visually. The image is very full and the general tone is relatively cold. It’s not a symmetrical image but there is some horizontal lines that make the image seem formal

Like the biography goes immediately after the image, the content is dramatic, complicated and ambiguous. The subject is unclear which makes me question about his original intent in of this image, and since he deliberately sets the stage in a way to reach his perfection and his contrast between the colors. I would suggest that he wants to create an absurdity in this image, and to reach a certain dramatic affect. The image gives me a feeling of absurd, and the tone makes me think of a very gloomy day in life.

In general I am not a fan of this image. The tone is gloomy and I am not certain of the content that it carries. I also dislike the color choice here, if the author is not purposefully doing a disturbing scene, then I think the picture is unsuccessful. He created a messy image, and none of the depicted objects nor them combine as a whole strike me hard. If the author is doing this deliberately, then I need more information to confirm what he is doing is successful.

The author must have been in a place that is far above the high level. However, due to the soil I highly suspected that he was not in the house, cause it is unlikely that a house is built next to plain soil. I will suggest that he was in a helicopter that is flying above. In the biography it has also talked about the stage setting of the images so part of the scene must have taken a huge amount of money and time. I personally do not understand why he is doing this to get the image like this. He possibly used low shutter speed to shoot the image.

In this image, there is a two story, gray-blue house located o a plot directly adjacent to a construction site. On the construction site, there are mounds of dirt, tall, cylindrical, red and green containers, and a red Yankee Septic tuck with a long hose streaming from the back. There is a man in a white shirt holding the hose pointing directly at one of the red containers. This container appears to be steaming or smoking. There is a puddle to the right side of the frame in the construction site, showing it may have recently rained.

The yard of the house’s plot is green, which is a sharp contrast to the brown of the construction site. In the yard, there is a play set and a few bicycles, showing there may be kids living in the house. There is a multitude of cars lining either side of the street that runs by the house and people in the side yard of the house. Telephone wires run along the side of the road across from the house and the construction site. There are big rigs in the background of the photo behind the house. The area is surrounded by big, green, leafy trees.

The lighting in this image is natural, and the sky is cloudy. I think this image is pleasing to look at, mostly because of the colors used. The rule of thirds is being used for the most part. The house is staged off to the right of the frame, while the red truck is to the left. One of the only things directly centered in this photo is the smoke from the container on the construction site. The point of view is birdseye, looking out over the construction site and into the yard of the house. The depth of field is very deep. The construction site in the foreground is in focus as house and the telephone wires in the background. One leading line is the distinct line between the construction site dirt and the grass of the yard.

I think a theme of this image is the idea that the world keep moving. I think that the party going on at the same time as the construction can symbolize the world. The party wasn’t postponed or cancelled just because there’s construction. I think that this image challenges the social idea that my bad day is your bad day. I think this image is not beautiful in the traditional sense, but instead for what it represents.

I like this photo because of the colors uses and the message it sends. Life does go on. This image combines many interesting factors into just one image. I wonder how Gregory Crewdson got the idea to make this photograph. It seems, in a way, that no one was ready for the photo, that the shot is very candid. I wonder what kind of ideas he came up with to achieve a birds eye view. The crane is smart to get a view from above everything vice a possibly too short ladder that wouldn’t show much above or behind the house. The perception of the construction site would also be very different had Gregory Crewdson decided to use something shorter to make the image.

There is a shiny red truck with a tank that says “Yankee Septic” on it. There is a long hose coming out of the truck as a boy holds the pipe. The boy seems to be pointing the hose at a red portable restroom. There is smoke coming out of the portable restroom. The boy, truck, and restroom are on top of red dirt with a powdery like consistency. There are some cigarettes or spare parts laying on the ground next to the boy. Next, to the portable bathroom, there are more portable bathrooms in green and red. In the background, there is a huge dark green pine tree. On the right of the pine tree, there is a playground set. The playground set looks new with shiny silver bars and red coverings.
As we look deeper into the background we see a house, cars, trucks, a basketball court, etc. The house on the right is blue on the first floor and white on the second floor. The house looks relatively old with blackened walls and an old roof. There is a white car and a red truck parked behind the house. On the house’s porch, there are chairs and what appears to be clothes and cardboard. We can also see a net door left open to connect the house and the porch. Right behind the porch, there is a basketball hoop standing. If we look in front of the muddy grey barn with a red roof, we can spot a family having a picnic. The picnic is taking place under the cream and chocolate umbrella. To the right of the family, there is a loner standing at the end of the fence. The loner is staring at two men who are running towards the barn. If we look at the children’s playground again, we see a kid’s bicycle and other toys. Exiting the realm of the family, we enter the industrial side of the image.
On the far left, we see cars that should be perceived as old kept in an almost pristine state. There are cars with a shade of brown, red, light blue, blue, and grey. Behind all these cars we see a silver fright truck. The truck is a company truck as the company logo is plastered on its side. There are two more freight trucks and a school bus to be seen in the back. The school bus particularly stands out because it is painted black instead of the original yellow color of school buses. We start to see antennas and cell towers standing tall behind everything. The dark green trees in the backstretch stretch for miles. There is a pleasant horizon line they create in the background as wires subtly hang from the top. If you peak to your right you see smaller telephone piles placed behind the mini-neighborhood.
The depth of field is very clear and focused. The road and telephone wires create subtle paths to direct the eye to the house. The focal point is the mysterious red portable restroom. The image is clearly asymmetrical. The image does not use the rule of thirds. The photo is taken from an aerial perspective.
The theme of this image is about family and how it can be invaded by industrialism. We see a family’s home on the right and the company’s land on the left. Both areas are cut by a white road that ends at a black school bus. The black school bus is Gregory Crewdson’s social commentary on education. The bus represents the poor nature of American education and how poverty affects the quality of education. The black school bus is subtle but bold.
I love the image. Gregory creates a maze for us viewers to explore. He inserts many details that make me question the theme of the image. Such as the loner standing away from the family, the school bus, and the mysterious portable potty. The image is rich with details to explore thus making it interesting and delightful.

This photograph by Gregory Crewdson involved lots of time and money spent on creating the scene so the image could be perfect. The time and meticulous placement of the objects must have taken a very long time, which is why the image is so perfectly set up. Crewdson sets his images up like a movie would be set up: a production crew, props, special lighting, and and an overall movie-like set up. His elaborate sets, cast, and lighting make it possible for him to create an image that is on the verge of fiction, but still has a real quality. His photos are always interesting, and sometimes even disturbing, which is why people spend big money to acquire his photographs.

This photograph is very busy and has many different props in it. There is green grass and tall trees on the edges of the photo and in the background. There is a grey road that goes vertically through the left side of the image. In the middle of the image there is a dark green pine tree, and next to it is a small swing set and playground. Many yards behind the swing set there is a small blue house, and behind it is a large white farmhouse. To the right of these houses, there is a dark blue shed with a red roof where there are people hanging out and 5?
relaxing. On the left side of the road there are many cars and trucks parked in the grass. In front of everything there is wet dirt and small mound of dirt. There is a big red truck with a hose leading out of it. A man is holding the hose and pointing it at what seems to be a porta potty. There are 5 of them and 3 are red and 2 are a green.

This image is pleasing to look at because there are so many things to see, and also the abundance of green makes the image pleasing to look at. To take this image the photographer went on a crane and took it from that angle, which allows you to see everything that is going on in the image. There is a deep depth of field because the background is not blurred out and stays in focus. The focal point of this image is the large pine tree in the middle of the photo. There are not many lines that direct your eye, however the hose directs your eye to the man holding it. The image isn’t symmetrical, but is asymmetrical because of how busy the image is. There is no extra space in the photo, everything is filled up by something.

The image is so chaotic and there are many different aspects to the image that makes it hard to conclude what the theme or story the photographer is trying to tell the viewer. If there is a theme, I feel like it would have to do with chaos because the image is so busy. However, most images have a theme or a reason they are created. The image’s theme is probably purposefully hard to figure out because he wants you to take time to really look at the image.

Overall, I liked this image and all the time and effort the photographer put into it. It was a little busy, but I like that there is so much to look at and you never get bored looking at it. The colors make it interesting to look at, especially the bright greens and reds.

This image is an extensive and in-depth depiction of suburban life. The photographer is on a crane to get this aerial shot. There’s a septic tank in the front that’s being used to collect waste, and there’s some kind of family friend picnic going in in the back. There’s a fair amount of cars to the right, and there’s a single tree near the middle of the image. There’s a lot of activities going on in the image, from somebody operating the septic tank to others walking around the grass and also people sitting down near the house. The image is trying to combine the entirety of suburban life in this one moment in time.

The image is pleasing to look at because of all the contrasting colors. The fact that there’s so much variation throughout the image makes it constantly engaging, sort of like those Where’s Waldo pictures. A deep depth of field is being implemented as the entirety of the image is in focus. The rule of thirds is not being used as the focus of this photograph, which is the entirety of this town, takes up the entire frame. The easily noticeable lines are created by the road and the grass, which distinguish the green vegetation from the solid, brown dirt and construction.

Given that the author wants to portray what a more rural dynamic of life looks like, I think this image provides a more social theme of what people do in such a setting. The dirt and septic tank are purposefully included to symbolize the more labor-oriented work that must be done to keep their little town running. The house and the multitude of cars, however, imply the tight-knit community that inevitably exists here and how the community binds together throughout the day. These two contrasting images are intentionally separated to show that these are the two various factors that one can expect to participate in while residing in the suburban lifestyle. The fusion of so many elements definitely makes the image beautiful.

Overall, I find the image to be successful because it depicts what it’s intending to bring awareness too. I’ve developed an enhanced perspective of more rural life, and what I’m seeing now confirms that which I’ve seen in movies and books that try to recreate the same setting. This image is also successful because it evokes a more somber and tranquil mood without the use of any dialogue. I can’t say that the cost to produce an image and the output of this photograph was worth it, but the end product independent of other context should be commended. It makes me think of the movie Interstellar and how there was that one home all alone, and I remember the emotions and the different responsibilities people in that movie had.

To capture this image, an aperture with a large f stop number was used so that a deep depth of field could be acquired. To compensate for this, a slower shutter speed was probably implemented, but since this photograph was completely staged, there wasn’t much movement to be concerned about. The natural sunlight doesn’t seem to be harsh, so a small ISO could have been chosen. Crewdson needed to get an aerial shot of this view, so he used a crane to garner the necessary height. There’s a lot of potential with contrast adjustment because of the extremely juxtaposed brown dirt and green grass.

This image is of what looks like a little town kind of in the middle of nowhere. there's bright green grass on some parts then brownish - reddish dirt on the other. there is a red septic truck with a man holding the end of a hose, a swing set, a white house, and a street. There are cars parked on the other side of the street. And in the backyard of the house, there are people.

I do think it is pleasing to look at because of the
color scheme. The rule of thirds is not being used in this image. there are just many objects in this image and its kind of hard to point out if something is in the rule of thirds or not. Also, there is a lot going on in this image. Depth of field is not being used in this particular image.

The lines that I see first are where the green grass meets the gray road. I think the image is balanced because there is enough going on in every part of space. There is not a particular subject but everything does fill the space and there is not an empty space. The photo just crops of somewhat seems to be woods on both sides, maybe another house. The negative space is in the shadows and the positive space is in the bright places.

I don't see any themes relating to this image, and I don't know why the artist would capture this image. There could be a story being told but I'm not sure. This just seems like an ordinary kind of day for the people in this image, that kind of the vibe I'm getting so it doesn't question anything to me. This image is very interesting like I would want to know why this artist shot this image. Why was this may be interesting to them?

I do like this image overall it is very interesting and different. I feel like not most photographers do that kind of landscape type of photo. It is very cool and I do like it a lot. This photo I think is very successful because it's different and a unique sort of landscape. This image is not one of mountains or plains you see most of the time.
