This is a photo of a room that the floor is filled with sand. there is a chair in the back of the room. there is a window that is letting in natural light. The inside of the house looks to be very old and luxurious. They are using black and white colors for this photo.
this image looks perfectly exposed. The image is all in focus, they probable used a smaller aperture. This photo is color correct because this photo is in black and white. there is a little pixelation in the sand area. the quality of the photo is perfect.
There are a couple ideas i see in this image, i see adventure, and curiosity. this image looks like some kids came back from the beach and had fun in the house after to continue having fun. having fun for most people is like an adventure. The fact that they finned the floor with sand makes me think that the children or the people that were in the house were trying to have a great time doing something fun.
Overall, i really like this photo. The quality of the photo is great, and the thought really makes me excited. i really think that this photo was done through a stage, ad that really makes me think how much fun it would be to make the set. this photo is really successful to me bece i really enjoy having fun wherever i go, and this photo explains that you can have fun wherever you go. i think that this photo is enjoyed by many people.

this photo is a composite. it is made up with two different images. the photo was probably made in photoshop. the photo is by Jery Uelsman. it is a very cool photo.
in the middle of the photo there is sand. in the middle o the sand there is a castle. the castle is very big. it has a mote that goes around the outside. it has many peaks.
in the room there are many more things. there is a chair. there is a mirror. there is also a widow. the wallpaper i dark.
outside there is a tree. it looks very dark. there is one spot of sunlight. the sunlight is on the tree. it looks like it could be a summer morning. it is very pretty.

This image is of a room that has a floor made of sand and in the middle of all the sand is a sand castle. Its black and white and has probably artificial lighting that light up the floor and shadows the walls. There is a chair, a window(source of light), a grand painting, the walls, and the the sand-castle floor. The image is correctly exposed even though there is a little clipping. Its all in focus and some of the whites look a little more grey so the color may not be fully correct.
Its a little hazy but it still has good resolution. It's very pleasing to look at because of how the sand-castle is in the front and how everything flows. There is no intrusion to stop the flow of how people look at it. The rule of thirds is being used and th epoint of view is as if someone was approaching a corner of a room. The focal point is the sand-castle and that is framed by the lines of the wall and the walls in general. The lines direct your eye fluidly and the image is balanced. There is extra space but the subject mainly fills the frame.
The photo crops off the rest of the room. Since this is a surreal image, the idea of a sand castle being inside a house is strange and uncommon. It does express something childlike and pure. It reminds me of a time when i was little and visited the beach. Its noteworthy in a sense of childhood and i like it because of its composition success and its ideas.

This image features a room with the floor covered in sand (the sand blends as it approached the wall and reveals a tiled floor) with a lavish sandcastle constructed on the floor. The room also features a chair pushed up against the back wall. The chair has a string running down the center of it. A portrait sits above the chair, but due to shadows, only the legs of the portrait are truly visible. A window allows natural light into the room. Trees are visible through the window. The image is entirely in black and white. There isn’t any action in the image, it seems rather stagnant and motionless.
The technique of the image is overall pretty normal, there isn’t anything too off about it. The image is properly exposed, there isn’t thing whited out, through the portrait has some extremely dark patches on it. Additionally, the entire image is in focus. The artist doesn’t really push the viewer to look at a singular object. The coloring additionally looks pretty sound. The colors are all correct. The image also is properly pixelized, everything has a proper resolution.
This image is pleasing to look at. The rule of thirds is loosely being used in the image, which could contribute to the appealingness of the image. The chair and window are placed on the sides on the imaginary lines and the sandcastle lies in the bottom center of the image. The artist seems to have taken the picture slightly above the sandcastle of the chair. By taking the image on a higher plane it gives the viewer a wider and vaster view of the image.
This image could be telling a story of having a paradise at home. The sand could be associated with a vacation. By having the vacation inside the house, the artist could be trying to portray a message. The fact that the sand and tile seemingly blend together adds to the meaning of vacation and home being one in the same. Regardless, the artist is trying to draw a connection between the two.
Overall, I’d say that I really enjoy this image. It has really interesting effects, and a message resting inside of it. The image is successful in making the viewer ponder its message.

The image is a surreal photo of a room with a floor of sand. There is also a jagged sand castle that has been built out of the sand. The photo is in black and white. The lighting is a pretty bright, a lot like a beach, which leads me to think that it may be natural lighting. In the picture we see the interior of what is an older house, we see a painting, though we can’t tell what it is of, there is a chair, and there is the sand and sandcastle. After all of this there is no motion occurring in the photo.

The lighting is bright, though it is not overexposed, and it does make it look like the beach. The resolution of the photo is good. The image is also in focus, with correct white balance. It gets hard to tell, though, with a black and white image. All of this is expected in a professional photographer.

The photo is fun to look at, mostly because (almost) everyone likes the beach, and the lighting and the sand are very representative of the beach. The rule of thirds is followed loosely, with the objects typically positioned along one of the imaginary lies and not an intersection. The photographer took the photo from about the height of a young child. The lines on the walls direct your eyes towards the chair and painting. The image is balanced with the window offsetting the chair and painting while the castle is positioned centrally. The objects leave scattered open/negative space.

There is not really a theme to the image other than that it is surreal and fun. I think the artist simply wanted a fun image and everyone has fond memories of the beach, as well as a beach house. The image reminds me of going to the beach in Delaware a couple times as a kid. The image is noteworthy in that the layering of the pictures is very well done. You are unable to detect any effect that altered the images.

The image is of a room that has a sand castle in it. The sand castle is in the middle of a half circle made by the sand, and seems to be made of soggy sand. The room appears to be quite fancy with a painting of a man in suit and a wooden chair with a woven seat cushion. There is also a window letting in a lot of light . This creates some dark shadows and a strong contrast in the image. The image is also in black and white which allows the light and shadows to have more prominence.
The image is properly exposed with very little pixelation. The colors appear to be correct, but can not be determined due to the image being black and white. The image also appears to be taken with a deep depth of field as all parts of the image are in focus relatively the same. The image uses the rule of thirds with the chair and painting being off centered as well as the sand castle and window. This makes a pleasing image to look at as it is not a straight on image, and also uses the corner of the room to provide a unique shot.
The images is pretty well balanced, but leans a little to the left with the image and painting. The sand castle and chair are some what framed by the lines on the wall, but these lines mostly just attracted the viewers eye to the middle of the image. Even though the sand castle itself does not fill the frame, the other objects in the image help to fill up the frame. The image is taken from about a 45 degree angle from the front of the suncastle. This helps to use the corner of the room as a framing and lining tool, and use the light source more effectively.
The image could be attempting to portray an uptight household that needs to loosen up as the sand is in a fancy living area. The artist could be attempting to reach out to people who live very formal lives and send a message to relax, loosen up, and enjoy life. It does not challenge any beliefs persay, but is quite beautiful. I enjoyed the image for it’s use of lighting and the angle the shot was taken. I think it was also successful in portraying a theme or message to me.

This picture appears to be of a room or maybe an office with sand and a sandcastle taking over the floor. There seems to be a large painting of someone surrounded by an elegant frame. There is a single chair in the room and a window. The window is letting in light and casting shadows upon the room. There is a tree behind it. There seems to be light facing the wall with the painting and chair by looking at the windows.

The pixilation seems good. This picture is in black and white and seems to be correctly exposed. There are no white spots but there are some dark spots where the floor and wall connect. There does not seem to be any use the rule of thirds. The picture seems a little unbalanced with the painting and the chair close together. Although it is not balanced, then he composition is pleasing to look at.

There does not seem to be a story being told, but it may support the thought of your house being a castle or a warm place like the beach. He used two pictures, one of the room and one of the sand and sandcastle, to help make the picture. This may help to show how two things can be combined to look natural.

I do like this picture because it is very calming. The way the light shines through and the sand castle reminds me of a beach. It reminds me of a combination of a comfort found at my house and the relaxation of the beach. I do feel as though this picture is successful because it has a reason. This picture is here for calming affects and reminds me of memories and feelings.

This image looks to be just a room full of sand that is oddly shaped into structures like castles, buildings, rooms, indoors. This image gives off a surreal vibe that is very evident throughout the photo. The colors used in this image are black and white and the lighting has dark shadows with a lot of shadings around each texture. The objects in this image are a chair, a odd painting, and a windows with the sunlight pouring through the glass. In this image the sunlight is being shun upon the sand creating a surreal structure.
The image is a little underexposed but is in good focus. The color is not correct seeing as the color is black and white. There is no pixelation and adequate resolution.
The rule of thirds is being used and the focal point is the sand structure on the ground. The window panes and the shapes on the wall direct your eyes to the sand building on the ground. The image seems symmetrical seeing as the room is centered. The subject doesn't fill the whole frame but theres many different objects being shown throughout this image. The edge of this image is the surrounding walls of the room with the sand.
I like this photo and it gives me an interesting vibe and is appealing to look at. I agree that this photo is also very successful because of how perfectly he had made the sand surreal.

Critical A
This image is composed of two different photos. One picture is of a sand castle on the beach. The other a dark room. In the room a chair and painting are present. A window is also included in the imag. The window is located on the right half of the image. It looks like outside the window there is a tree. The beach sand castle is located at the base of the image. The photo was taken in black and white. It personal a better image in black and white. The photo displays lots of light shining from a window.
The black and white in the image looks to be right. The lighting is properly exposed. The lines on the wall direct your eye inward. I personally think the image is all around. By that i mean that in the image object or the image itself is all over. But in ways it could be good. It fills the image giving it a complete look. Everything in the image fills the image.
There are 2 different stories being told in the image. One is of the sand castle, the other is of the sand castle in the room. The beached theme sand castle is at the base of the image. To me the reason it is at the base is because at the beach people make sand castles with the sand which is on the ground. The sand castle gives the image positivity. The dark room gives the image negativity.
The sand castle is something people make at younger ages. It is a childhood fun activity. It brings happiness. A dark room brings negativity due to it is dark with few objects in it. I think of it as there are two sides of life i positive and negative side. But when combined it shows that life is combined with both a negative side. I personally like the photo. I interpret the image in a way that is pleasing. I don’t like the actually visual take of it but the mental interpretation i take is pleasing.

The image described below by Jerry Uelsmann is of a hardwood floor wth sand on it. There is a chair and some sort of sandcastle in the room. The colors being used in this image are black and white. The lighting has a lot if dark shadows. The objects included in this image are trees a picture and a frame. In the image it looks like someone was in the middle of building a sandcastle.

The image looks a little over exposed because if you look out the window the tree is sorta fuzzy and dark. The image is all in focus all around the sandcastle but as you start to fade out the image gets a bit blurry. The color in this image is correct. There is pixilation but only out the window. The picture is very pleasing to look at especially the sand castle, just looking at each grain if sand is kind of pleasing.

The rule of thirds rule isn’t being used in this image. The point of view and focal point is the sand castle and the sand throughout the image. The lines that direct your eye are the lines on the wall. The subject does fit the frame and there isn’t a lot of extra space. The image crops off the rest of the room and sand.

The themes/ideas in this image are probably of a little kid who wanted to build a sandcastle but it was to dark outside who he got sand in the fanciest room and built a sand castle. The artist made this image to show you should be carefree because you only live once. This image doesn’t question or challenge my beliefs. This image reminds me of careless summers at the beach. I really like this image and find it sooting and think its very successful!!

this is a image of a sandcastle in a house. The image is in black and white, I
think this is so, because the photographer didn’t want to the colors to be to much for the image. There is bright sunlight. The objects included in this image are a room in a house with sand and a sandcastle in side.

This image has good exposer. The image is in focus. The whites in the this image do look white. There is not pixelation.

This image is sorta pleasing to look at. I do not believe the rule of thirds is being used. I would have to say that the point of view may be the castle, just because I think it is the most besy thing in this image. There are lines from the window and the detail on the wall, but i can’t really tell where they are trying to direct my eye. I don’t really think this image is balanced. Even thing does fill the frame.

If I had to say I would say that the story being told is just that the beach is like home or that this person really likes the beach.

I don’t really like this image, which is something i rarely say. I do not hate this image, I just think there is to much going on and there is not a clear story.

This image shows a room with sand floors and an oddly shaped sand castle in the middle. The image is in black and white. The image seems to be in a darker kind of lighting. What is unusual about this image however is the dim kind of shadowing on the walls and castle. They are not bright at all but are noticeable. It also seems that the light source, wherever it may be, is coming from two different directions. Notice the shadow of the chair and the shadow of the castle. Their shadows have different angles.
The image is properly exposed for the most part. All the whites register and most of the blacks do. The only exception is the black shadow that was cast in the top left corner just over the painting on the wall. The image is mostly in focus and at a high resolution. This means that the image is going to have less pixelation.
This image does not use the rule of thirds. It does not center or focus upon any certain object nor does it contain a person or character. What it does have however is an oddly shaped sand castle, an empty chair pressed against the wall, and a painting with the top 3/4ths blacked out from a shadow.
This image tells me something about childhood. It says to me that you can find childhood anywhere and anytime, it just all comes down to your imagination. The artist most likely left this image up for interpretation by leaving out faces and symbolic objects. The image takes the viewer back to that stereotypical childhood memory of building a sandcastle on a beach somewhere. Meanwhile the castle is surrounded by this darker and depressing room. There is irony and symbolism from both the room and the castle itself.

this image shows a room with a floor made of sand. the image is a typical house setting but the floor is made to be sand. the image is in black and white probably to give the image an old feeling from the past.

the colors of the image looks to be the right color but with the black and white filter it is hard to tell. the exposer is correct with nothing being over or under exposed. the focus of the image is good and it good pixilation.

the picture is appealing to look at. it doesn't use there rule of thirds and the focus of the image is unclear. the trim is used as lines to focus the eyes to the center. over the composite image is done well and uses the correct exposer and editing.

i personally like the image it has a good contrast and looks interesting. i don't think he author is trying to make statement with this image. it does remind me of when i was young and playing with sand in my house. overall i think the author was successful with the photograph however it fails to have a clear message or focal points.
