BATCH RENAME IN ADOBE BRIDGE
The Batch Rename option in Adobe Bridge allows you to name all of your files at once in a quick and convenient way.
1. Select the files you want to rename. Then go to TOOLS > BATCH RENAME.
2. Select Rename in same folder in the Destination Folder section of the pop up menu.
3. You will name your files based on whatever project or assignment you are working on. Enter the name for the files to start with the project and the sequence number (001) (example: name_game_001, name_game_002, etc). Sometimes I will ask you to put your first and last name in the file as well. (example: lastname_firstname_name_game_001).
You can view a preview of what the new filename will look like at the bottom of the window in the Preview section.
4. Check the box beside Preserve current filename in XMP Metadata.
5. Check the boxes beside Compatibility for Windows and Unix.
6. Click Rename once everything is set properly.
